It feels more like a puzzle game rather than a tactics one. Rather than having a battle or encounter take an hour long, each mission being broken down into several bite sized parts. Between having the ability to rewind your turn and optional objectives, it really scratches that itch to play optimally while keeping it purely optional if it becomes too frustrating.

What really caught me by surprise was the writing and story. With some of the initial dialogue shown in the trailers (world war five, older man still living with his mom, stuck using public transportation), I was only really expecting cliches and cheap humor. The easiest comparison I can make is with the DnD movie released last year (2023) where you go in, not expecting much and you are quickly hit with a surprisingly interesting story with genuine characters and the jokes made aren't at the expense of either.
