OMG. I started playing this little game on a whim while looking for something cozy and light to play on steam deck and I love this! Everything is so adorable. The animals are so cute. The game mechanics of little minigames to serve coffee and treats at the cafe is perfectly done. And there is even some puzzles to get the critters unlocked. I am hooked. Gonna go play a bunch more.

Early Access Review
This games only true flaw is that it is too addictive and makes me want to go buy property and open my own TCG Card shop so I can spray everyone that enters with aerosol deodorant and open all the packs myself.

This beautiful and fun productivity app feels like it was made just for me. I love having it open on my second monitor while I'm working and enjoy seeing the new spirits I collect and listening to the lo-fi music or just the sound of rain and thunderstorms. It is such a delight to use.

I absolutely adored playing this game, it is fun and addictive. Perfect blend of casual farming/life sim and deck-building creature creating. I kept wanting to just play one more day despite desperately needing to go to bed IRL, lol.

I love this game! So adorable, relaxing, and fun. I wish it were longer (beat the main game in under 3 hours...still playing for some achievements).
So cute
So charming
Love it.
I would also recommend this developers other game, Lemon Cake.

I will have a full review on Geek to Geek Media soon!

This game may actually be a contender for Game of the Year for me. I love it that much.

Beautiful, relaxing, and just the right amount of puzzle to not be challenging without being frustrating. The story is well crafted and intriguing as well.

Absolutely loved every second of it.

The 80s Never Felt So Good!
(a review copy of this game was provided. Check out my full review on GeektoGeekMedia)

What a fun ride! I want to hurry and finish the review so I can play more! Mayhem in Single Valley is a polished, sharp, fun little adventure game that hits ya like a catchy 80s pop song; you can't get it out of your head!

Jack Johnson (no relation) is about to fly to the city to attend art school--a wonderful opportunity and chance to escape the dead-end lifestyle of his not-so-well-to-do family. All that remains is a couple of chores and...what's this? Mysterious shadow entities dumping toxic waste into the town's water supply? Oh, dear! Well, what's a helpful/mischievous lad in a red-hooded sweatshirt supposed to do but grab some trashcan lids and fight mutant forest animals!?

If the plot seems cheesy or borrowed from like, I dunno, 40% of the 8-bit platformers in the 80s, it's only because it's on purpose. Nostalgia abounds. But Single Valley is much more than homage. With such tight controls, character handling and fluid animations, there's an earnestness and commitment belying the game's simple plot.

Plus, it's NOT a platformer. Straight up action adventure game in 3D! Well, almost 3D. The gorgeous character sprites (pixelated, at any rate) are 2D, but the semi-voxel environment is 3D. The incredible lighting and water effects are fabulous. All action takes place in 3D. Like a charming cross between Paper Mario and Zelda: A Link to the Past.

The combat, however, is def neither of those. No master sword or hammers here. You get a slingshot and...acorns. Maybe a bug or dead fish. There's unique and interesting ways to dispose of the afflicted, glowing green-eyed vermin that assail you, but stabby-stab isn't one of them. It's not quite as pacifist-y as, say, Undertale but hecka fun to figure out!

The physics are great and make the puzzles tonz of fun to solve. Dying is hilarious. The pacing is brisk and relentless, making it hard to get up and walk away. I enjoy everything about this game!

Pros:
  • Awesomeness!
  • Fast paced and easy to pick up
  • Has a lot of heart
  • Has a lot of humor
  • Brilliant graphical style
  • One of the best soundtracks ever

Cons:
  • Couldn't find all my clones
  • Square duct tape

I am writing a full review on this game for GeektoGeekMedia.com as well, but let me just say that this game is so incredibly sweet. I love the Easter eggs placed throughout and the play on the 12 days of Christmas for items needed is perfect. The game is simple and relaxing. Nothing too mind blowing, but just a wholesome and fun time. Easy and safe enough for a child to pick up. Very fun addition to my holiday traditions.

Mario Kart meets F-Zero. Tried the game for a free weekend and had to buy it for me and my friends! :)
