Resident Evil Requiem, where do I even begin. The story, the care center is an absolutely wonderful part of the story and definitely the highlight of the game, when you go as Leon back to raccoon city the atmosphere is haunting yet also beautiful, I was overwhelmed with nostalgia remembering how the city appeared in RE2 and RE3 and to see it in this state was mesmerizing, understanding the weight of what Umbrella really did so many years later was an incredible sensation this game provided. The characters we're a pleasant surprise, I was unsure of Grace at first but as the story progressed I can say without a doubt she exceeded my expectations and has become one of my favorite RE protagonists, now Leon, who doesn't love Leon? The gameplay was well constructed, the enemies we're slightly challenging at times but compared to previous RE titles this was much less difficult, I personally feel like their were less bosses and the bosses I did encounter felt more like mini-bosses, even the final boss fight was underwhelming. Nonetheless, Dr. Gideon and Zeno were incredible villains and I think all of the games (very few) flaws can be easily cast aside due to the absolutely incredible story direction this game provides. In short, Resident Evil Requiem may feel short, and not as action-packed as some of the previous titles, but it's exceptional storytelling abilities more then make up for it's faults.
