Great mecha-shooter, plays, looks and sounds very nicely (except for few and far between ping-related hitches)

All game modes are solid and pretty fair (biggest culprits are mods, but they're only usable in PvPvE, don't provide TOO much of a boost and can be obtained easily by just playing, without spending any real money)

Kinda lacks progression, aside from basic unlocks like paints/stickers/pilot customizations/etc.

Cash shop is questionable, yet pretty typical for contemporary F2P games(overpriced skins, shiny new mechs, bunny ears and maid outfits for your pilot and all that nonsense), but doesn't really provide any advantages

Def worth trying out if you ain't afraid of pee pissing your piss pant

bought this game in february 2020, 4 years of questionable/dogwater content updates later - still unoptimized, buggy and overall boring, and now devs are pulling down multiplayer

Would really like to recommend, but at this point the game feels like another EA half-abandoned survival sandbox.

Picked it up almost a year ago and had a blast playing with friends thru about 90% of the content (the amount of content wasnt apparent back then). Decided to give it another try about a month ago and all the flaws really showed in a solo playthru.

Cons:

Progression - superficial and feels more like a set of hard stop walls, rather than smooth and natural
Every "age" requires pretty huge amounts of grind and sometimes really frustrating (ofc you can skip some and slog thru with your sheer skill, but if you want to follow the road, laid by the devs, get ready to pee piss your pee pant).

Balance - non-existent. Pretty much every "age" requires you to craft and use specific weapon type,
especially later parts of the game (same point about skill and pee pant applies here).

Building - promising at first glance, but reeeally disappointing after actually trying to build smth other than "temorary minecraft dirthouse". Limited amount of building parts, that will require you to spend more time on trying to hide all the clipping edges/plains and struggling to place/snap parts in very unnatural ways, rather than realising your imagination.

Updates - the most disappointing part. No respect for the initial roadmap (devs promised bunch of new bioms, but havent released one in more than a year). Rare posts, containing little to no information on current dev. progress and pretty meh concept arts, that look more like "oh ♥♥♥♥, we have to post something, lets hire a guy to spend 1-2 hours" rather than actual visualisation of ideas (no offense).

Pros:

Ambience - the best part of the game(at least for me, at least at this point). Deep sense of immersion in this strange little viking world, carried by pretty cool enemy design, amazing visuals for all 5 fully fleshed out bioms, kinda limited but still vivid music, that almost 100% conveys the feeling of what's happening on the screen.

Community - still has lots of people with passion for the game and big hopes for its future. Lively modding scene, full of talented people with great ideas.


TL;DR:
Vivid world, meh progression, almost no content updates.
If you want to waste a couple of weeks chilling with friends - go ahead, but if you're in for a long haul(100+ hours) - wait until full release, since game gets really empty really quick.
