Incredible game. Made me laugh a lot, intrigued me, made me choke up a few times. What they've done with this world and characters is an achievement. It's hard to make a player character both feel defined by the player and feel like a real person, and they do it here. Kim is a great partner. It will introduce you to an annoying little ♥♥♥♥ named Cuno that you'll want to punch and then by the end of the game you'll grow to love every interaction with him, and maybe even arrive at the conclusion that yes, you should give this child speed.

I wasn't really feeling this for the first few hours but I'm glad I stuck it through. Is 2nd and 3rd acts are much stronger than its first. I think the enemy designs are a bit boring, and the merging mechanics is a little undercooked especially with how prevelant it was in the marketing. But after you complete the first extraction the game's story, its level design, combat encounters, etc all improve, and it even has a few solid boss fights toward the end.

I've personally found that many other survival horror games tend to have weak final acts (if not in story, then in mechanics) but not so here. It ends remarkably well. Great music, the Traveller and Warden character designs rock, and even a couple of the later bosses do more than look like melted goop.
