Despite the name you barely ever slay a spider

Still a really good game

Been overrated for 15 years, dev is insufferably pretentious and also just a misogynist and antivaxxer. The art is the only reason this game was ever worth consideration.

Cute, short little incremental game with active gameplay, the sounds and effects make farming the resources really addicting, great to just go through over a couple of chill sessions watching something

This game is an infuriating, frustrating, disturbing, unfair gambling simulation.

I can't stop opening it after rage-quitting a rigged run.

Okay, I want to preface this review by saying that I'm sure that there are performance issues with fairly capable hardware, and Pitchford is a clown.

This Borderlands game is a step in the right direction for sure, the gameplay and story are markedly better than everything that has come between BL2 and BL4.

If you like Borderlands and have a fairly powerful machine, I think this game is pretty fun, if not a bit pricey. Overall I recommend it, with the caveat that you should refund it immediately if the performance isn't up to your standards, and wait for some patches.

Wow this armory system is actually pure insanity, instant game killer.

As of 09/17/25 Theorycraft has removed the ridiculous armory/prisma/forge system, making the game reasonable once more, hopefully they take this time to re-evaluate how and when to consider and ask for feedback on large changes like this. Changing review to positive in light of this change.

This game is such a hidden gem! Packed with charm, beautiful graphics, cute characters, engaging gameplay POPUCOM has it all! The style of POPUCOM is adorable, and the gameplay is unique yet familiar, and as you get used to it, you can blast through battles and puzzles in such a smooth and satisfying way. POPUCOM keeps the game fresh alternating between different sorts of encounters, slow methodical puzzles, quick and simple puzzles, platforming challenges, and collectibles it never feels stale.

For $20 this game is an absolute STEAL!
