Best Job i ever had.

Despite some connection issues, this game is one of the best ive played in a long time.

The most frustrating thing ive experienced is getting TK'ed by my friends Mortar Turret..

Even with the connection issues, my experience with them hasnt been so bad. The devs have released a good amount of info on the issues they are experiencing. From what i can tell, the bulk of the crashing was fixed day 2 of launch and the server issues are mainly due to the amount of people playing. I guess they werent expecting so many people to be playing!

All in all im really looking forward to the future of this game. I hope that people can look past the issues experienced at launch becasue when you conisder the state in which most games launch nowadays', Helldivers is a content packed, high octane ODST simulator. Praying for a "Mac rounds? in orbit?" voice line in the future!

(TL:DR: Worth the money for what the game is right now. A promising title) Review from the perspective of a solo: Marauders is a fun game. The amount of content in the game is already something to behold. The AI are decent and sometimes quite scary. I often hear an AI approaching me then silence only to find him crouched in a corner waiting for me as i enter a doorway. Id say that the standard AI aren't as menacing as tarkov scavs but they are certainly on the right track. From the brief interactions ive had, the higher tier AI are terrifying. The overall feel of the game is great. Its very atmospheric and the style (1900 - cold war guns and equipment) of the game is certainly a good mix-up on the genre. Considering the game just left closed alpha, (I believe) i have had a very smooth experience. There are some bugs, I equipped a vest i found in raid and the items i put into it disappeared. On the stash screen i would put items in my stash and they would still be in my inventory. Other than those 2 i haven't had any issues. Both were resolved with a quick game restart. My favourite feature about the game play experience so far is how quick you can load into matches. Im sure this has something to do with the amount of people playing at launch but still a huge bonus. Means i can forget about how i just shot the ceiling after getting jumped-scared in the dark and focus on the next game.

Overall a very promising title. Certainly worth the money in its current state.

a worthy successor to the first Chivalry.

Games got some teething issues to be sure. Some UI bugs and some minor work around-able matchmaking issues. Games got a good fun gameplay loop. People are very upset over the "pay to win" stuff but if you break it down and look at the actual gear you get from the most expensive dlc its very meh. two set of blue armor will only get you so far. a well placed grenade or general wear an tear in a match will kill that person. With the MMR system those people that survive a long time with said armor will be paired with other people who extract with similar amounts of loot. These systems take a few matches so for any perspective players just know youll have to play a good few rounds for that system to place you correctly

The french dont run away? Even tho they have speed buffs and higher HP sails. Dev please fix :(

All in all this game is exactly what i wanted. Its got naval battles. its got progression and its a sandbox. Looking forward to where this game goes

The only game to get me out of bed at 6 in the morning

Very fun gameplay loop. servers have been surviving the onslaught of connections which is very suprising. managed to play for 17 hours day 1. Devs seem on the ball to fix the queue issues

TL:DR Game is good. There are issues but they are manageable. Give it a try. You can always refund after 2 hours if it aint your thang

Been playing as a duo.

This game is very good. There are issues with crashing and building however not as severe as some people make out. There is a lot of grinding but if you play smart and watch the markets you can buy any ore you are short on. There are hundreds of prebuilt ships you can buy at the show rooms. My friend and i have embarked on multiple 6 hour long treks into deep space. This was a daunting task but finding the new ore and realising that once we were there we could get as much ore as we want and then sell excess on the market was a very rewarding feeling. I have been watching the reddit and faction conflicts are starting to occur which i find very cool. Really looking forward to what this game becomes.

I have no idea how this has any good reviews. I loaded this up and once i was in game i got 10 fps. The slightest mouse movement caused my screen to spin 180* Sprinting lagged the game. I have a decent rig. This game is poo poo garbage. Save your 3 bucks. I went to the village and murdered everyone there one at a time and no one cared. the guard didnt care that i was heavy attacking him for 3 minutes. i got a critical on the child in the village. I encountered a bandit and i hit him 90 times before he attacked me.

Pretty good game. 7/10. Rewarding combat. Somewhat of a steep learning curve on max difficulty. Story is decent. Havent completed it but enjoying it so far. Ive only played the hardest difficulty but i imagine most people do as if it was easier it would hardly be a challenge.
