Pretty fun, but most of the Standard Lobbies are just full of bots hidden behind real usernames. Sad.

I love the concept, but as others have said, depending on what decisions the player you're following made, it can be quite a dull experience. Of course this is only a snippit and later on the path I was on could have gotten a lot more exciting.

As for the recommended spec requirements, they're INCREDIBLY generous to say the least. I assume they're targeting 60FPS but honestly it's not very well optimised. I play at 1440p with a 3070, i9 11900k, 32gb ram and would average 45-55 FPS on High preset. Lowering everything did not make much difference either. Based on their requirements I should be more than capable of running at a constant 60FPS.

Pretty good game, simple fun just blowing up Nazis with different guns as well as some fun stealth elements. I actually played the later two games before this one (ignoring Youngblood) so the sudden change to zombie/monsters later on in the game was a big surprise, but a welcome one!

Story is forgettable though, especially comparing to the later games, but still an overall great game!

I also played 70% of the game on my Steam Deck, looks and plays fantastic for anyone wondering.

Early Access Review
I would like to mention this before I give my review: To the dev that replied to one of the negative reviews asking for the reviewer to take down their review - this was a very irresponsible move. Never do this. Take the criticism and move on. It only makes your studio look bad. I had also seen some terrible takes from within their Discord in response to some other player feedback. Stop using "Early Access" as your scapegoat - this does not excuse a bad product.

Although I had never played the 2nd instalment, I did play the 1st game. YL3 is not a bad game as it stands, but it's just not exactly what the playerbase wanted.

YL is typically a cozy fun game, that you want to play to relax and just pass time. The idea of multiplayer and playing with friends sounds super fun, I just think they focused on the wrong type of multiplayer for this franchise. I enjoy the turn based card style game, it's fun and different, but the issue lies in where you are forced to play it to progress with streaming. Having NO other way is really a mind boggling decision from the devs.

Overall the game isn't "BAD" as a lot of reviews say, I just think they took a wrong turn for the franchise.

Firstly, let me just say that it is a must play! Super fun, endless things to do, great visuals and hours and hours of gameplay.

Although I loved the game, I was not so enticed into the story this time around. It was pretty boring to me, and pretty generic in terms of the two main characters and the big bad guy. I also generally enjoyed the side missions more than the main missions. Even though they were short, they packed a lot into them and made it super fun.

The concept of the game is great though, and a fantastic game as you'd expect. Definitely recommend!

Great fun, Great atmosphere

As expected from this series, it keeps it's charming style, and witty jokes throughout. Loved the first two, but personally this is my favourite so far, more my style! I would love to see some sort of co-op come to these games in the future though, would make it super cool!

Early Access Review
These are merely my first impressions! This game has promise. Dev's seem to be passionate and willing to listen to feedback - however in it's current state I cannot recommend it.

Pros:
- Graphics are very clean (UE5, Woo!)
- Great UI
- Easy to learn and understand
- Great concept
I honestly found it hard to find some real pros.

Cons:
- Yes - The performance is bad. Yes people who own $3000 PC's will have an easier time running it. FSR should not be the only way to get a playable performance.
- Game crashes, not super frequently, but it happens.
- Server issues; Random disconnects, in game chat disconnects, lag, Dsync.
- Squad System buggy,
- AI is HORRIBLE.
- AI can sometimes survive and entire mag, then 1 tap you. (Most likely server issues)
- No real distinction between factions, despite it being the main thing that separates you from other players.
- Audio is bad. Directional audio sucks, and weapon sounds feel weak and bad.
- UI doesn't always work as intended.
- Animations need a lot of work.
- Although a pretty map, it's boring. Needs more to it.

TLDR; Give it a few months to a year before you buy this game. This game is early access, so you should go into this game EXPECTING issues like I have stated above, however, I think they released the game too early even for early access. This will do more harm than good, people are going to lose faith as most people will go off their first impressions, whether it's first hand or through videos/streams.

At the current state of this game, I do not recommend it at all. I am a HUGE Battlefield fan and I have played all the Battlefield's you can think of, not meaning I am someone you MUST agree with, but I know my fair share of what Battlefield is. I pre-ordered 2042 and as contradictory as it may seem, I do not regret it. I actually enjoy the game, but it also doesn't take long for me to get either frustrated or bored with it. The optimisation is horrific, there are still some ridiculous bugs and there is a lot of balancing to be done. This game needed at least another 6 months in development before release, as frustrating as it would be, it just feels unfinished.
