This game makes you feel "Weeee!" but also "Woooo"

Not really one to write reviews but this game deserves it.

Only have about 100hrs at the time of writing and two wins under my belt. The first one didn't net me the achievement because I had an ultrawide compatibility mod running, this may come up for someone else so I figure its worth mentioning, hopefully native 3440x1440 support is added in the future otherwise you will be playing with black bars.

Other than than one minor snag the game has run very well on my fairly modest PC, but if you take gold lasts forever it can start to lag a bit more than any other scenarios I've encountered.

Tech issues aside, this is not a game about balance this is a game about interacting systems.

I would advise looking up information about this game outside the game itself from the wiki youtube, etc,. as the game tells you almost nothing and there is a trove of things that are easy to overlook or mistake for background props, and much much more. Knowledge of these types of things doesn't take away any of the reward of actually managing to fulfill a certain task or make your way an area as the path to get there is so over the top dangerous.

The main appeal to this game for me is the spell/wand crafting that occurs in between the combat sections, the range of opportunity for experimentation is seemingly endless and the more you understand and learn the more you become capable of doing some game breaking stuff with very little. This could range from being able to destroy all living creatures even those you cant see with a single mouse click to just being able to bore straight down to the next level, and again so much more.

I guess this was less a review and a more poorly written rant about minor technical issues and just love for the game. But Nolla really deserves the engagement and I look forward to what they might do with this engine in the future.

Buy this if you either enjoy or don't mind the pixel art style and enjoy games that encourage you to break them.

Oh also the soundtrack is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing.
