This game is super fun! I really like the movement - grappling up to platforms is satisfying and the gun lets you fire very quickly. Excited to see what comes next!

Great game! As a formerly very serious games but playing a bit more casually now, this is much more accessible than POE1. The complex looking passive and skill system isn't hard to understand if you're played RPGs before. The skills feel really crunchy and WASD movement is fantastic for this sort of action RPG. Despite this still being in early access, it feels very complete. I'm just entering the new map system end-game and I'm looking forward to it a lot.

Best crafting system in an aRPG so far.

Great roguelite with frequent updates as of November's early access. Not completely perfect but I find myself wanting to try new builds still after 60 hours.

I don't think I've ever reviewed a game before. This has to be my new favorite roguelike, and I've played many. The combat is crisp and the hitboxes feel accurate. I like the weapon choices, and after some experience playing the randomized upgrades (boons) you get all feel pretty good, though some feel definitely stronger than others. The ability to choose what set of boons you will get during multiple steps of the process really helps your items never feel wasted like in some games. The theme/setting is overall good. I enjoy the greek mythology flavor and this was a good representation of it as far as fun and game mechanics go, though I won't go so far as to claim anything about it's mythological accuracy.

The game is still in early access as of this review, and I am still very happy having paid nearly full price for this, and I am eagerly looking forward to the next major patch, despite just beating the final boss after around 20 hours. I still have not unlocked all the weapon alternates, though they only effect minor changes. I still have not tried all the boons, though I've played enough to mostly get how they feel.

As far as controls go, I first tried to play with my mouse and keyboard and very quickly switched to a controller, which was FAR better. I used my steam controller, and was happy for the ability to macro multiple button presses to a single key for spamming combo moves. The game feels hard, but not annoyingly so. There is a menu option called God Mode that makes you a bit tougher and deaths are less penalizing, though I haven't actually tried the option myself to see just how much. There seems to be no penalty for switching the mode on and off at will.

Overall I must give this game a 10/10. I have no complaints, experienced no bugs or glitches, and am happy with the content that's been released so far despite the game being in early access. After 20 hours and a single escape (completion), I can't think of anything that's obviously missing. The combat is dynamic and challenging and didn't often feel repetitive.

I have been absolutely sucked in by this game. I give 9/10. This is going to be a favorite for a long time.
