One of the best video game implementations of the 5e ruleset to date. Engaging story with well-written characters demonstrating great voice acting and motion capture in almost every interaction. Great immersive world building, challenging combat, with plenty of room for creative solutions at every opportunity.

Steep, steep learning curve, but highly addictive and rewarding gameplay once you've got a hang of the systems. Continually updated with expansions, with the most recent being perhaps the best DLC to date.

Fantastic game, though the gameplay may seem a little slow in comparison to later installments. If you're a fan of Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age: Origins retains many gameplay characteristics that will feel familiar.

Only played through the story and DLC once on Steam. Played through 4+ times on PS3. Highly recommended.
