I do think Osu is the most exhilarating example of a rhythm game that doesn't require a full arcade cabinet. Mostly because stylus' offer much higher precision, which leads to further input investment, and specificity expectation. A higher skill ceiling. That being said Thumper has a unique note system, & the geometry-porn is calming.

Fun for a few hours a year. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the movement is butter-smooth.

Needs better formatting to be like a real MMO, companionship is mostly temporary and mission focused. The lobbies are really high resolution HABBO hotel.

Too many good things came out of Yakuza for me to not recommend, but I found it pretty boring. For me the youtube videos of select interactions will suffice.

The interactivity & immersion of the city-squares & their activities is higher than GTA though, so it's kinda fun to walk around for a bit.

It was good, but as AvoidingThePuddle said, "I 'aint tryna feel lonely when I'm playing an ARPG, I'm already the only guy in the game".

PoE for me, community makes these thrive.

When it got supernatural the third time, I lost interest. The mystery & pattern recognition were what I got on board for. It was crudely tossed away for spell-casting crabs in the crew's quarters.

Still, it was a fun game.

The existentialism is a bit young in inquiry for me, but Platinum makes a good game. Boy is it beautiful, the genre meshing keeps it interesting, & the soundtrack is on my phone.

Character propensities are a little too sado-masochistically focused for me. This makes it hard to continue without feeling personal regression. I see viewing the world through those lens as archaic, or at least background vector.

I enjoyed oil fishing.

Really good soundtrack, well-researched visuals, great aRPG gameplay.

A prescient masterclass on personal responsibility.

The world IS ending; is that an excuse to abandon your principles & the people you love?

Many characters are exegetic of philosophies I seem to subscribe to.

Become comfortable with number 0, to even have a computer with which to dialogue about your favorite games makes you ultra-rich. It wouldn't be so bad for the world to end, we spend every day in paradise.

Between yes & no, I've switched weapons, builds, play-styles, varied my risk aversion, & done exploratory, story, & pure progression sessions. I'm just not seeing it. It's fun, for about 10 minutes. I dunno, I've beaten all the Souls games before it, maybe I've out-zenned these games. Strangely enough, I'm thinking BOTW 2 stands a better chance of giving me a good time. It focuses much more on robust amounts of unique object interactions than damage scaling and attack patterning. Though, Nintendo's musical motifs in BOTW 1 were really condescending.

Pattern attention & patience are only virtues when the task you face offers personal growth.

The first 10 or so hours were pretty fun. Then it's a walking Sim. I'll probably finish it.
