After spending countless hours on 4 playthroughs on my xbox I decided to double dip and get it on steam. It's great to come back to where it all started, I feel it's atmosphere is a lot more immersive and grounded than it's sucessors for a sci-fi setting. The shooting mechanics are on the weaker side but the biotic abilities are cool to use and the story more than makes up for the combat faults. Not too sure why, but I feel compelled to return to this game every winter :/

Perfect blend of action and horror with rpg-lite elements. The pacing of the games story offers great replay value coupled with an interesting variety of enemies, characters and weapons. The games atmosphere does a great job at creating tense moments and it also features really good set pieces with solid shooting mechanics. It's unfortune that Visceral Games studio was closed as I feel this franchise still had a lot of potential.
