While the game is fun, it is a nightmare to play. Constant crashes even with settings lowered and VSYNC. Only reason im able to play it is because it is optimized on steam deck.

This is the worst thing they could've done for the Skate franchise.

The map is small and whats up with all of the climbing to get to places, Im playing skate not climb. The graphics are cartoony, the whole medtec makes you invincible is cringe, the voice lines are very low effort and frankly annoying to listen to. The map is small and lacks the actual monuments that made the skate game fun.

The gameplay is horrendous, You randomly fling off your grinds, when i want to ollie onto a structure for a challenge like a manual, the board autolocks into a standstill grind hold, but when needed to grind the character wont clear the obstacle to get the board on top to grind. When grinding rails my character gets caught on the railings somehow and falls, some of the wooden ramps will fully stop the board instantly when landing on them throwing the player off. When doing a trick you fail when you fall, how do I land a trick " Great " with four wheels on the ground then stumble off the board, if I landed it great the character should've stayed on the board.

Nostalgia aside if they remastered Skate 3 for PC it would be better than this.

Fun to mess around in but I wish it had a career you could work into like other racing games. I know you can race in series but wish you had more structure to it.

Turn on VSYNC and set to run on a older program. That fixes bugs and makes the game playable.

Edit: Just finished the finale.... this is easily the greatest single player game I have ever played, I could not describe how much I enjoyed the storytelling and journey I followed Arthur Morgan on.
