Post-Chapter 4 edit: HOLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HELL

I was terrified to just launch the game the first time I played, and had to turn it off after an hour. Replaying it, I realise it's not as scary as I thought it was, though it's still up there as one of the scarier horror games I've played. If you haven't played this game and you're looking for a really good horror experience, go ahead and play it. Even better if you can go in blind. The Whistleblower DLC is also amazing, so spend the extra cash on that.

In conlusion, a great horror game that deserves to be played. Check it out!

If you haven't, please play it. I've played this game countless times, and for many years. My hours on steam probably aren't even close to the actual amount of time I've spent on this game across platforms. It's funny, emotional and the music is just perfection.

Do yourself a favour and play this game. You won't regret it.

Yeah I'd say it's pretty good

I've started playing horror games during the past year, and let me tell you that none have been as scary for so long as phasmophobia has been. While I start feeling comfortable with most horror games after just around 10 hours or less, I have 50 hours on phasmophobia and still jump at parts of the game. The variety in how each round plays out makes for some incredible unpredictable gameplay and funny/scary moments.

Definitely one of the better horror games out there, and yet it's still in early access. I'm looking forward to when this game has reached it's full potential.

Honestly, I had quite a bit of fun with this game, as is evident by my 60 hours. However, that was pre-patch.

I haven't really played the game since then, so I can't comment much on the "fixed" aspects of the game or the gameplay as it is now, but using all the different bugs to do basically whatever I wanted was a joy. It can be confusing at times with unclear instructions, and you might feel stupid after searching for the next place to go after an hour or two. Just know that you aren't.

Honestly, I had a lot of fun, and would probably recommend you play it yourself, but maybe not at the current price.

Edit: I played it again after all the patches, and I take it back. Don't play this game unless you need to, or the dlc is actually good once that eventually comes out.

Post-DLC edit: The dlc was good, but not good enough to make the whole game worth it.

Honestly... Where do I even begin? This game was absolutely amazing, and I loved every second of it. The story is unique and extremely well put together. If you can, please start the game with as little knowledge of the story beforehand, as that really helps improve the already amazing gameplay. Every song in this game is a banger, as it is made by the amazing The Living Tombstone.

Overall, this is a great horror game, but also just an amazing game in general. If you have the money and time (Heck, maybe even if you don't) play this game. It's an experience like no other.

Oh, and also, you can pet the cat.

Anyway it's beautiful, fun and terrifying at times, and you should get it, like why are you even in the reviews?

This game is beautiful. The open world feels very great to explore and the boss battles are challenging but still fun.
