I really enjoyed Chaos Gate! I got into it thinking it would be 40K XCOM but it plays quite differently to XCOM and there was a few habits I had to break in order to beat the Chaos Gate campaign. The difficulty level at standard and higher is BRUTAL those reinforcements just don't stop pouring in. For your first time playing I'd recommend playing the lowest difficulty so that you can get your bearings. Unfortunately you can't change difficulty mid playthrough so you'll probably abandon this save once you have figured out the game but I dived into standard right from the start and had an extremely rough time.

In most missions every turn brings reinforcements, you are going to have to deal with another 2-6 units spawning in constantly and sometimes there isn't much room for error in the way you approach dispatching them. You really need to get to know your knight's strengths and abilities in order to just progress through the game. I'd recommend not rushing or skipping missions, doing as much research as you can before researching the story progressing research and gathering as much passive/upgraded wargear as you can early on in your run to make things more manageable.

I played through the Base game once and then added the DLC for my next run and I have to say that having the DLC made a big difference to my enjoyment of the game. Having the extra classes and more ways to play engagements opened things up greatly for me and offset some of the difficulty if only by a bit.

So yeah, in summery, probably not for everyone, a lot harder than XCOM but a fun time if you're into these kinds of games.

I really enjoyed this game! The gameplay is unique and interesting and very one of a kind. The atmosphere and music is great! I enjoyed learning about the world and lore as I got further and further into it. It was really compelling. I don't normally play puzzle games and haven't really dove into one since Portal but something about this one really drew me in. It's truly special, an experience I'd wholeheartedly recommend.

Very fun game! Larian really created a world that truly feels alive. There's so much to do and nothing feels fetch quest-y which is what annoys me about other RPGs. Faithful to D&D in the best ways too. I enjoyed it immensely. :)

I really enjoyed the first game and I'm having fun with Cities 2. I miss a few features from the first game (like building large park areas) but I'm sure they'll get added again in time. I like that there are seasons and weather on all maps in this one and that water and power cables are automatically run beneath roads. It's little things like that that make city building in this game a lot nicer over the previous one and everything looks nice in the new engine. Also all the buildings are bigger and you just feel the scale of your city a lot more now. Overall I'm enjoying my time with the game.

I have played 60 hours of this game in two weeks and feel like I have already gotten my monies worth even though the game is only, at the time of writing, in beta.

The core gameplay is extremely fun, the weapons all feel great to use and the level mutators keep missions fresh and replayable. The soundtrack is awesome, the classes are all unique with cool abilities and roles. I have also enjoyed creating my own character and was presently surprised and the amount of customisation options that are available when designing them.

A lot of care and detail has gone into this game and I have been really enjoying my time with it as of late. I can't wait for the actual release now and the upcoming content that is planned for the future.

Pretty fun game. I have been enjoying it quite a bit lately. The gun play is pretty fun and the battle pass unlocks have been pretty satisfying up to this point. A decent third person shooter for sure.

A great game that feels like Gears of War from the 360 days. Lots of great content gets added every season and it's a game that always makes me want to pick up where I left off and play again. :)

I really fun game, can get a bit repetitive, hoping this gets addressed in future updates. Basically a shiny new version of Theme Hospital which is a game I remember fondly. For this game to live up to and go beyond the quality of that game is a real achievement, it plays exactly like you would expect, it looks fantastic and has a certain charm to it that makes me love it even more. You get a lot of game for the price point with this game. :)
