In regards to all the negative reviews, I am convinced that humanity is never satisfied with anything, and will always find something to complain about. Reviews are subjective, and as such, so is mine, but here it is anyways:

Scorn is a disgustingly beautiful first-person survival horror game. With heavy emphasis on atmosphere and graphics, there simply is nothing out there that comes close to replicating what Scorn has to offer. Every nook, corner, hallway, room, is meticulously crafted, leaving no empty or copy-pasted spaces. To possess the ability to bring about a world inspired by the works of H.R. Giger is truly a talent, kudos to the modeling team, I am sure you never slept. The lighting and sound design are also superb, I was so engrossed into this world I wanted to take my time to soak in everything, trying to figure out more about the character, his people, and the world they live in. The game features some unique puzzles that while aren't too difficult, will make you sweat a decent amount (reference the key lock thing, if you know you know). The combat is not the focus of the game, therefore it is not going to hold up to something like Destiny 2 or DOOM in terms of shooters or combat oriented games. Rather I liken the combat to that of Silent Hill, it is an option, you have limited amount of ammunition, and it is up to you whether or not you decide to pick a fight, or run from it, all the while creating an anxious atmosphere that plays into the game cohesively. My only complaint is that this felt like an appetizer for what Ebb Software could do, even getting lost, getting deaded, and putting my fingers into strange holes, I clocked almost 9 hours. The ending only made me want more, perhaps there will be sequel/prequel episode 2, though the ending might say otherwise. I should also say I played this with an Xbox Controller, so maybe the experience would be different with keyboard and mouse, that is up to you.

I personally recommend this game if you like the Alien movies and dig all the weird biomechanical stuff, and you want something short to play. It was an experience like no other, truly. Great job Ebb Software, can't wait to see what you bring to the table next!
