I have well over 1k hours in KSP and while it has bugs and janky behavior sometimes, I think most would agree that can actually be part of the fun and it wouldn't be the same without it.

The learning curve is such that you will fail a LOT when you start, but again, that is part of the fun. Embrace the chaos and explosions and learn from it. Eventually you will be landing on Mun and then hopping all around the Kerbal System with relative ease as you master orbital mechanics.

Moar Boosters and Moar Struts forever!!!

As great as the first game. Amazing lore and story. Really interesting world full of creatures and plants to discover. Base building is super fun. If you liked the first game, this one will not disappoint.

500 hours in. If you like base builder and resource management games, it is great.
Pros:
-Fun gameplay
-Cute animations and sounds.
-Somewhat steep, but manageable learning curve. And there is quite a big learning curve, but I have never felt frustrated.
-Lot of new things to discover and do.
-Enjoyable to master a mechanic and harness that element of the game as efficiently as possible.

Cons:
-Some bugs/glitches
-FPS/Lag issues in the mid to late game or with high dup count or with big bases, etc.
-Time Vortex on par with Civ. *looks at clock* 9pm *builds one small room, looks over at clock* 1am. Wait, what?

I would never have guessed I would enjoy hitting a ball with a car. And at close to 2,000 hours it is still fun somehow.

The only downside for this, or any competitive game, is the occasional toxic people, but RL is a far better community than most.

This game instantly landed in my favorite games of all time. The immersion and amazing environment Unknown Worlds created is a masterpiece. The lore and creatures in the game are so well done you could spend days just exploring and reading and learning about the plants and animals you have found. It is truly beautiful and wonderful. Then the pace changes from beautiful and peaceful to dangerous and scary as you realize you aren't at the top of the food chain here. There is no other game I have ever played that actaully made me feel fear or get an increased heart rate from something. There is nothing quite like being in the water at night and hearing a distant roar and then silence.

On top of that the story is a fantastic, gripping wild ride. Remember that first time you read your favorite book. When you finished reading and had that moment when you realized it was over and that was your favorite book and no other book would ever come close and you just wish you could read it again for the first time. That is Subnautica. If I could forget it all and start over at the beginning again I would.

I finished a hard-core (permadeath) playthrough recently. I had one close call that wasn't what I expected. I was just casually looking for supplies and went into a wreck to explore and got turned around and disoriented inside. I looked over in horror to see I only had 5 seconds of oxygen left and I had no idea which way to go to get out. Instant adrenaline rush and heartrate as panic and fear set in. I scrambled through a doorway, around a corner. *beep beep oxygen* the AI reminds me as my oxygen hits 0 and my screen starts to darken and i am moments away from death. I have no idea where I am. I go through one more doorway as a last ditch effort and see the beautiful headlights of my seamoth shining in through the broken wall, waiting for me. "Come to me. I will save you" it says. I made it. After that moment I had to pause the game and walk around the house for 30 minutes to get my heartrate back to normal.

This is a truly amazing game and if you are even remotely intrigued by the description, get it. You won't regret it.

Beware: This game can trigger a whole range of phobias in people: thalassophobia (fear of the sea), nyctophobia (fear of the dark), claustrophobia (fear of small spaces) and megalophobia (fear of large things). If you can conquer those fears you will experience a truly great game.

11/10 would dive again.

Pros: Good for kids and adults. Great music, sounds, art, visuals and atmosphere! Fun, easy, casual gameplay (no death, no bad guys, just some puzzles and exploration). The season switching is innovative and made the game really come alive.

Cons: No map or in-game pointers. You can run for 10 minutes in the wrong direction, then have to run all the way back. The game does hint at where to go at some places, but in others you can get completely turned around for a while and that can get frustrating. If you like exploring and figuring it out this isn't a problem, if you don't want to you can search for hints online. The game really should have a 'hey where do I go now' button, and it could have the guardian/narrator speak to you or something.
