Every single time I have put down this game it has not been of my own volition. I will lose sleep, food, and sanity over these damn cats and I am trying to keep that from becoming a problem.

10/10 I need more cats

I am thoroughly engrossed with the progression system they have implemented into the game. It is SO much better than the playtest, especially with how the risk and reward plays out.

My newest favorite puzzle game. Legitimately lose the entire day if I don't keep alarms for other events. Somewhat dangerous in like a hardcore drug type of way. Temple maximizing is my god, may the number go up forever.

The only thing AI generated about this game are the announcers, and even then its not replacing them bc they still get paid for every new line Embark generates. It SEEMS to be a artistic choice because there is out-of-game lore reasons for it.

Outside of all that, this game is the best FPS ever. Outright. Not debating. A selection of guns that are all unique, none overshadowing the other in mechanics. An intricate flow of objectives that balances out holding control of 1 area and fighting across the map. The map has DESTRUCTION and crumbles to either open up areas or add cover with debris. Yet this is only a FRACTION of what makes this game good. This game is a no-brainier to anyone seasoned in the FPS genre.

This game has been in my life since I was a teenager. I've played the base game for ~80h and I would say its worth the buy if you cannot afford the DLCs. HOWEVER, the DLCs make this game a lot more deep and a lot more fun and are WELL worth the buy if you can spare it.

I'd recommend getting all the DLCs BESIDES Repentance+. I personally do not recommend it because it changes some fan-favorite interactions to make them boring and uninteresting and the online mode is just as unstable as Steam's Play Together, so you can still use SPT to play TBOI with your friends. You also split yourself between a modding dichotomy currently with Repentance+ and Repentogon (I personally think Repentogon mods are of a supreme quality, but that's just me).

This is the game you buy when you get PCVR. Outright. There's so much to this game that the 20$ pricetag is a NO-BRAINER
