Early Access Review
One of the very few times I wanted a sequel to a game that hasn't even finished yet. It just works, so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WELL.

The ONLY reason I would recommend this to others is the grind to unlock costumes is made so MUCH EASIER. This makes the game in a much more enjoyable and playable state.

But for everyone else who don't care about that. Yeah the reviews say it all, as or fight now. Lack of content, most content is locked behind DLC, barely if any noticeable changes from DOA 6 besides a lighting system that only affects as of right now 1 stage, every core fighter price and DLC price got effectively doubled for no reason, even if you bought DOA 6 you still need to buy Last Round (But if you bought any DLC from DOA 6, don't worry that carries over but uh specific content is unobtainable as of right now like Exclusive Season Pass Skins & Pre-order bonus for DOA 6 not last round)

Overall if you just want to try it out, you will have a lot of fun there is a good core to this game. if you DID buy DOA 6 originally and wanted to know the changes from 6 to Last Round, well...I am sorry.

Overall, yeah the game is solid and great.

It does take a bit of time to get used to but I have been playing a lot. As of right now, near launch there isnt a whole lot of content to the game it is kind of lack luster in that department BUT the mechanics are there and the combo system is so fun and refined.

As I say, You do have to get into it and if try out harder difficulties the game WILL NOT HOLD BACK. Not saying its unfair but it does require a good proper understanding of mechanics in order to take on harder AI's. There is complexity in the basics and while most are not going to try to learn the tutorial and jump straight into trying to do combos. I would personally recommend it, as the tutorial teaches you a lot of useful mechanics.

Overall it's good, if you REALLY like Invincible then i would say there is a lot of fun to be had. If your not, you might not get as much enjoyment out of it.

I've been trying the game for the past 2 weeks and all I can say...this is WAY TOO FUN.

It has its issues, due to EA, being VERY GRINDY and while it has a lot of content to explore and get access too, you will have to go through the effort to unlock it through random character cards (this also includes customization items too).

But if you give this game a shot, especially with a buddy, you might find this game a little bit more addicting than you expect. It's a ground shooter, so while you can try jumping up to display your hitbox (only 2 classes do this) everyone else is more or less on a level playing field. So it requires, a good understanding of mechanics, abilities & positioning to beat your enemy. It does have a learning curve to it and some of the grinding can just absolutely break me after awhile

BUT that can't deny the fun I have had with playing this game. I knew of this game growing up but I never got to try it till now but man its a lot of fun. Especially because of those different variants of each character, as some completely change how you play the game.

In some ways, this game can be a nightmare going through and getting everything required to have FUN with this game, in another aspect. It brought me so much joy, that I haven't felt from any other game, you can tell their was a lot of love passion and care put into every aspect, it almost brings me to tears.

Just, a word of caution when booting up online events, those hackers out there...ruin that aspect, instead do either mystery portal or buddy up with people in a lobby. Or else you will see pure utter chaos unfold.

Why do I feel like a horrible person for doing what the game asked me to do?

Now this game feels like it would just be seemingly average or just like every other fighter but after playing this game for over 20 hours. It truly is one of the more unique attempts at a fighting game I have seen in awhile.

It may not have the depth of Tekken or the hyper realistic style of something like Mortal Kombat and its not as unique as something like Street Fighter. But this game truly stands on its own, it truly feels like a breath of fresh air.

Each character is unique and different enough to be enjoyable and the mechanics are solid, not a lot of move options as other series but the controls are so tight, its really fun. The only problem is customization requires grinding...like a lot of it too. I predicted to at least get every weapon skin for one character it would require a player to spend 50 - 80 Hours to max out 1 character. And there is like over 30...I am only lvl. 139, 21 Hours in the game and I need to be 500, this is just for 1 character to get everything for. Now, you don't have to do this but to get some of those exclusive weapons...it is kind of needed.

The one saving grace may be the rupie shop, while not the BEST system by a long shot. It allows (with enough grinding) to acquire all dlc characters and their costumes but even then it would require a player to save a LOT of coins to do that but...it is possible. And since you can earn the currency more easily than most other games (tekken, street fighter and mortal kombat) it is the best modern day rival of this system specifically. And what I think other fighters SHOULD do in the future, because you can also buy additional colors and dlc characters AND costumes from the battle passes as DLC purchases if needed. Which, I am just saying, IS BETTER than the modern day fighters everyone says NEEDS to have these systems even though these games sell millions upon millions of copies.

Sorry, I got into a little rant but honestly this game is ridiculous and I LOVE IT. I would recommend picking the game up either on sale or at full-price. either way it is more than worth it.

What a neat little visual novel. I don't play a whole lot of visual novels but I have played Saeko and I am slowly working my way through Slay the princess & I do want to play through Doki Doki at some point but that's besides the point.

This is clearly a passion project and honestly I like it. It's a little rough around the edges, especially since there isn't a whole lot of choices (I counted only 7 choice options) but each path does create a unique connection for each character. If you have a few hours, its not bad if you need something new and or FRESH in your life. Which works for me since I am a mindless consumer and a media fanatic.

Also, its fairly cheap its like 5 dollars. The art work is beautiful and the storytelling while a bit cliche is still quite charming. (Especially Aewen, that is my personal pick. You can sue me if you want but my answer is FINAL!)

Anyways yeah it's worth it if you want something simple to get into it. This is a EASY safe bet and you help support an artist too, so I consider that a win. But hey you do you.

And I am giving this a 7 out of 10.

The price tag even at full price can feel quite questionable but at the same time the mechanics are so solid, I haven't had this much fun with a racing game in a LONG TIME. I recommend more people play it, as honestly it is great even if it is overpriced right now. Hopefully if this game is successful, we can get EVEN better games in the future.
