It's the sequel to the game I've put a quarter of my life into. It feels surreal that it's finally here, but holy cow I can't wait to see how this one grows too. It has already reached heights the first one could only DREAM of, and it'll only continue to rise. Joyous occasion for platform fighter players alike.

Also I already spent 40 bucks in the shop within the first hour of playing, that should tell you how much I love it.

It honestly hurts me to make a review like this, but I feel I owe it to anyone scrolling through the negative reviews to give my true thoughts.

Persona 3 is fantastic, I don't think I need to say that much more. The story is by far the best out of the 3 modern Persona games and the gameplay in all versions (minus a few pet peeves) is extremely fun and rewarding.

My problem is that this "remaster" is honestly terrible. The audio quality is so bad to the point where I couldn't play with headphones because of how crunchy it sounded. The AI upscaling is also a major bummer and looks really unappealing so the MAIN selling point is a let-down. There is also very little additions, with only a new quick save feature (which is really nice for grinding out specific quests but thats about it) and new difficulty settings (which was nice to modify XP earnings).

In the end, I only played this for the achievements due to the fact that I've played P3 many times before, and after playing this "remaster" for about a week and a half, I can't say I recommend it, and for one major reason: Persona 3 Reload coming out next year. While P3RE is confirmed not to have the female protagonist (at least for the time being, and is a major letdown), I can already guarantee you that it'll be a better experience for P3 than this. If you want to play as the female protagonist, PLEASE wait until you finish the main game first (you won't regret it), and then play this.

After a full two playthroughs of this game in the span of a little over two weeks, I'd say it is about time to post my review.

I think its safe to say that Persona 5 Royal rightfully deserves the praise it receives from anyone who plays it. It has it all, from great and interesting characters, to addicting gameplay that keeps you hooked from the start. If you're completely new to JRPGs and aren't sure if you'll be able to play well? I wouldn't worry about it at all, as this game's difficulty can be as easy or as hard as you'd like.

As for the actual story of the game, it is also quite fantastic. Everything in combination with the game's style makes you play nonstop if you got the time. Is it better than some of the other Persona games? That is very up to debate...

I will say that I believe that Persona 5 Royal's final arc (if you choose to go towards the true ending) is one of the best segments of ANY game I've played by a considerably large margin. I can't put into words just how good it is, so you'll have to try it out yourself if you haven't already.

In the end, what the hell are you waiting for? Persona 5 Royal is finally on all platforms! You have no excuse to play it now. It's showtime!

What can I say, if you love platform fighters and want a great competitive community, plus some fun mini-modes, you'll love Rivals.

Decided to edit this review from many years ago to fit more alongside my other reviews for the Persona games.

I love Persona 4 so much. I've played it countless times and it always brings a smile to my face when I see anything from it. Every single character is amazing, the story is pretty fun and keeps you engaged all the way through, and the gameplay is quite fun just like any Persona game.

Please just play this game. This version on Steam is actually quite good after the patches, and even has some new features since the last time I've played it which is super nice. The game is also quite cheap on sale so you have no excuse.

These two are both my main characters and are a BLAST to play! Very technical and speedy, with lots of combo potential. If you want one of the DLC character packs for Rivals but you can only pick one, choose this one for sure! (That's what I did until the other characters were on sale for half off)
