Cool game with very unique and immersive world building. Definitely a well made game but I'm likely refunding it because it's not really my pace. Coming from games like Escape From Tarkov, Arena breakout, Arc Raiders, etc. this game just lacks the grounded heavy gameplay that I've come to love in this genre. General combat is more reminiscent of a Halo or Destiny firefight. Enemies are a little more spongy and aiming is very easy and beamy which makes sense for the game since you're not physically human, but its just not for me. Get it on sale and give it a try yourself!

70+ Hours in and I'm still baffled that this game is free. Coming from 100+ hours on Escape From Tarkov, I'm genuinely impressed by how this game matches up with, and sometimes even surpasses Tarkov in different ways.

Combat: Top-Tier ballistic realism and gunplay. Armor works as it should. Limbs can blackout if not protected. Injuries are a bit simpler than Tarkov but still a relevant threat to livelihood.

Weapons: A lot. Hop in the gunsmith and go crazy. I make all my weapons from scratch. No shortage of modifications.

Survival: You need to eat and drink but it never becomes that dire unless you expel a lot of energy in combat or get injured.

Reward System: This game is just as punishing but 3x more rewarding than Tarkov. The more you play the more rewards you get through events, missions, daily challenges, squad benefits, etc.

Maps: All the maps are very well designed and there's options for every type of playstyle. Interiors look great and there's always many points of interest to go loot.

Looting: Find household items and food in villages. Weapons and gear in government buildings and camps. Random items here and there. Everything has value and a use. While not quite as in depth as Tarkov (You find items on almost every surface) it's still impressively detailed.

Economy: The in game economy is great, yet I'm still unsure if it's fully influenced by real player transactions. Regardless, It ads an extremely addicting layer to the game as it gives every item you find value. A random junk quest item could be worth 5x the regular price depending on how many people are buying it for that quest at the time.

Cheaters: In my 76 hours playing the game I haven't encountered a single cheater. I unfortunately can't say the same for Escape From Tarkov. I don't know how they have managed to keep cheaters at bay but they're doing a great job.

If you're new to hardcore extraction looter shooters definitely give this game a try. It's free, very well done, and the replay value is nearly infinite.

Pros: Delightfully refreshing PVP gaming experience.

- Every building is explore-able and fully destructible.

- Gunplay is snappy and fun.

- Anyone who's given this game a bad review based on their dislike for the gameplay is likely just bad at intense PVP games.

Cons: FIX THE MF NETWORK BUGS I WANT TO PLAY WITH MY FRIENDS PLEASE

Game gud. Very peace but also much thrill. Big game not for low IQ. Sometimes laugh, sometimes spook. Game make big boy feel like little boy again. <3

In a nutshell i'm over 3 hours in on day 2 and yet to have felt or done anything emotionally compelling. Amongst all of these great reviews I can't seem to relate to any of them. My first few hours of gameplay have been rich in somewhat interesting yet oddly irritating dialogue but bland and emotionless in every other aspect. Atmosphere is cool but the townsfolk seem to either walk aimlessly or stand and wait for you to talk to them like it's their only purpose. Exploration is also pretty bland so far but i'm hoping it will get more interesting as I progress. This is the first game i've ever played that has made my eyes actually hurt from constant aimless wandering and excessive dialogue reading, but I'm not giving up yet. Will update review later on.

Quite literally the most frustrating, difficult, and dead game on steam. Played it for over an hour and accomplished nothing. Great game for wasting hours of life for no reward at all. 10/10

Im going to give this game a thumbs up because it is a pretty cool game but it is absolutely not worth the full price, I highly reccomend waiting for sale. This game is good in most areas but it isn't polished as a complete game should be. The story and plot is really neat and original although there is sometimes a lack of immersion due to bugs and really silly NPC's. The combat is very basic but is backed up by an interesting arsenal of weapons which makes it more enjoyable. Then lastly the crafting and skill system is complex enough to keep you constistently motivated to unlock more cool skills and create/upgrade new weapons. Overall I would give this game around a 7.5-8 out of 10.

This is not your average 75% PVP and 25% survival game like the vast majority on steam today. In Scum YOUR health and well being comes before anything. The game takes an extremely realistic approach on whats happening inside your characters body. You can starve, die of thirst, become under/overweight, break limbs, get sick, vomit, urinate, sh*t. etc. So you must make sure your body is strong and ready for anything because if not you'll probably get viciously murdered and chopped up into yummy chunks. (: The first REAL survival game i've played in ages. Amazing concept and only getting better.

Once you get the hang of it the combat is addicting fun. Might need some tweaking though beacause it is pretty clunky at times. Though im sure they will improve on the smoothness of combat movement in the future.
