It Takes Two is an excelent game from the same developers that came out with the fresh take on co-op games, A Way Out. It Takes Two features a fun platforming co-op experience with many refernces to other game series and genres such as rouge-likes and fighting games. The fun of It Takes Two is playing with a friend or loved one and experiencing this game's story together, as after all there are moments throughout the game where it does indeed take two to complete certain tasks and objectives. The references in this game are also very nice and interesting as they keep the game feeling fresh with different gameplay types, I won't dive deeper into those gameplay differences because I feel those are best to be left a secret, all for the experience of discovering them! It Takes Two is a great game that revisits something that games of the past used to do much more often, which was co-op gameplay, this game not only features great gameplay as a co-op platformer, but it also incooporates a deep (by today's standards of bland stories in anything that isn't a JRPG) story that makes sense for the characters in this story that themselves incorporate into the game's setting very well. Overall, I would definitely say this game deserves all the praise it has been getting, and I highly recommend keeping an eye out for developer "Hazelight" as their future is looking bright and I personally can't wait to see what they create next.
