The game isn't fully released but they're tossing out DLC like no-tomorrow. The DLC is $10, the game is $18. I would expect more content.

The devs claim that they need money to pay for updates, which is either a fault on their part, greed, or a lie. Many other VR companies (Take Blade and Sorcery, H3VR, or Bonelab as examples) are able to give year long updates for absolutely free, no DLC, no microtransactions. If you REALLY believe you need more and more money, but you don't want to make people mad, then I would start running kickstarters, patreon, and campaigns to fund it.

If you know me and you're reading this, I was thinking about you when writing this review.

The game is just nostalgia. It was good in 2004, but you weren't even born when the game came out, just play CS2.

It's cool to have Halo CE - 4 on the same game.

I like the customization available, the challenges, and spartan point system.

I like Halo, pretty cool, glad they did this so I didn't have to buy each individual game.

Glad there's a lot of cross compatibility with things like keybinds and graphics between games.

Wish the netcode was better, especially on Xbox. (Why can you play without live on PC, but requires live on Xbox???)
I don't understand how only the netcode for 3/3ODST was crossplatform for campaign, but every other game can't. It isn't a complaint with MCC but Bungie, Halo CE is a horrible game, absolutely horrible. Genuinely atrocious.

I don't like how you have to buy 3ODST and Reach as DLCs.

Halo CE can eat my shorts. Horrible game. I'd prefer to play 5, infinite, and 4, LASO than CE.

It's a fun game. Surprisingly not horrible even though the series is being dragged on. Really cool how there's a new story, branching off from the old games, while still keeping some similar aspects. The movement is great. It has a TON of content (A little too much, side quests take a LOT longer than old games)

Why a bad review?
The game runs horribly. The minimum specs are minimum to LAUNCH. Recommended is for 60fps, 1080p, low settings. Getting 144hz, 1440p, may be impossible without a +$3K PC.
The game dev's CEO is a joke. He tells people to refund the game instead of fixing it.
The writing is predictable and reads like a drama play.
This is mainly meant to pressure the devs to fix it.

I wouldn't buy it. The game sounds fun, but it's not. Super buggy, bad gameplay loop. Devs are unhelpful on their Discord server.

I love that they're going to add DLC to this game, I paid full price for. So glad. Thanks guys. Love what the devs have done with the past few updates. Has NOT killed my want to play.

Still good but I don't support them right now.

EDIT: People kept commenting saying "Oh all games have to make paid updates". Simply wrong. Big games do, sure, but I know the dev is 100% able to make free updates as they did in the past. It's a lame excuse for more money. If they want more they could non-gameplay related supporter DLC (Exclusive art, music, etc for supporters, not affecting gameplay). If they REALLY need to outsource for models, textures, work, etc they should start a kickstarter for major updates (IF ABSOLUTELY NEEDED), and offer things ingame like supporter roles, which don't limit gameplay. Other games like blade and sorcery has had YEARS of high quality updates, for free.

Lastly, the 1st major DLC is $10, over half the price of the base game (While not adding 2x the content).

People are complaining the devs are sell outs like they haven't been since the beginning.

I would NOT recommend spending $16 on this game. I understand it's an indie development but the game is un-enjoyable due to the physics applied to guns, has too many invisible barriers, isn't balanced, and doesn't have much content. I'm really looking forward to changing my review when the entire game is released and feels good.
