An excellent but rather flawed first entry into this new IP. There's the amazing writing for some of the folks who gave us New Vegas, but you can definitely feel that the budget ran out as the story meanders and fizzles out during the third act. The Factions are completely forgettable - which is the story's biggest weakness. The main cast is brilliant though; in particular, Pavarti, who is extremely endearing and her personal quest is so bloody cute. I really liked Ellie and Max, with Felix not being quite as interesting and Nyoka is the weakest by a fair amount. They are all entertaining in their own way however. The aesthetic style is also super interesting, with a pulp sci-fi aesthetic, it's almost the antithesis to Star Trek's luxury space communism. The weapons are really cool, but using anything other than the science weapons seems benal in comparison.

I see Obsidian really building from this game. The orignal Fallout was far from perfect, and this would likely be the same. A jumping off point. Worth playing if you're a fan of the Fallout games that have something to say. :^]
