Requires an always on internet connection while playing. If while playing you lose connection to Xbox live, you will be moved to the escape menu and notified of such. Continue playing and about a minute or so later, for me, the game crashes. I get a 'Halo: The Master Chief Collection has stopped working' message, 'MCC-Win64-Shipping.exe APPCRASH', and 'fatal error The UE4-MCC game has crashed and will...'
Additionally, even in single player, if your internet connection is in use you will suffer awful jittering, frame rate slumps and rubber banding that will cause you frustration and render the game unplayable. I suspect this is because the game is maintaining a CONSTANT connection with Xbox Live servers to check for permission to continue or interrupt game play.
