This is genuinely an all-time classic, easily making it into my Top 5 games of all time. The story, the gameplay, the music, the complex characters, the world... everything is essentially perfect - and at an entirely reasonable price point too. It comes as no surprise that this game is present in tons of award categories in 2025 because it's obviously such a labor of love for the developers and it just gets everything right. It's a little bit heavy on the French theming at times - looking at you, black-and-white cutscenes - but this is so easily a 9.5/10.

In summary; one of those games I wish I could forget about, so I could have the joy of rediscovering everything all over again.

I keep coming back to the fun gameplay loop of "leave base to scavenge, avoid/fight zombies, obtain loot, drop it off at base". Definitely a solid improvement over the first game, and co-op is pretty good too. I also really enjoy the community and base building aspects. The only complaint I have is that on harder difficulties, blood juggernauts spawn too frequently and are too tanky - but I guess it's a higher difficulty for a reason... Fully recommend this to anyone who enjoys zombie games!

I've been hooked on this game for over two years now, and for good reason. Bungie's gunplay is second to none, the emergent story and background lore weave together into a fascinating world, and the power fantasy of being an undying space warrior is unlike anything I've ever experienced elsewhere. Whether you prefer to play casually or get sweaty, experiment with weapons or grind for a specific godroll, Destiny 2 is worth checking out ESPECIALLY now that you can play all of the Year 1 content for free.

Very useful aide when playing or running a tabletop adventure. I particularly like the way encounters can be set up ahead of game day on a map from a library of NPCs with associated loot drops and everything. Almost everything is customisable, from spells to feats to skills. The battle tracker itself is invaluable for maintaining initiative order and keeping track of turn-based statuses, as well as character health. Definitely worth the investment for any serious GM.

This game seriously never gets old. It has a very steep learning curve but is emerging as a pro-level eSports pick and is the most fun I've had in a long time. There are loads of different characters to play and lots of mechanics to perfect, and since it's a Valve title there's so much support its staggering. The graphics and audio (especially hero voicelines) create an incredible environment that cannot be found in any other MOBA. Collectors can hoard the cosmetic items and hardcore players can obsess over their winrate. All in all, if you are looking for a game that requires a bit of skill but is incredibly rewarding, go beg for a copy of DotA 2.

It's freeeeeeeeee. Seriously though, it's a simple top-down shooter with enjoyable level-up unlocks and character customisation. There's not much fun to be had by yourself - the later levels are rather hard - but there's plenty of fun to be had with your friends. Four different classes and two characters available in each class allow for different play styles, and you'll need to figure out what you're best at and try to balance that against what's needed for the good of the team. Definitely worth downloading and playing, for a while at least.

This game is really fun, on both sides of the coin. Playing as a soldier is great because you have a connection to the commander that you just don't when they're AI, and commanding forces is awesome because you're ordering around real like people. The classes are diverse and there's a perk system, even if it's a little lackluster and buggy. That's not to say this game doesn't have its problems - the sniper rifle is horrific, the backstab is unreliable, and it locks up every fifth or so game. Still, worth buying if you like FPS' that are a little bit different, especially if you get it on sale.

This is a great little RPG that's unexpectingly addictive. The shopkeeping section is fun and intuitive, and the dungeon-crawling, while not up to the standards of Diablo and the like, is nonetheless amusing and enjoyable. The characters are likeable and plot will want to keep you playing past the "soft" ending. A game you should pick up if you like RPGs, ESPECIALLY so if you see it on sale.
