fun game

Starts like a masterpiece, ends like a bad fanfic.
The build-up is amazing atmosphere, writing, everything clicks and then the ending throws it all out the window trying to be ‘deep’.

Great journey, terrible destination.

Still a really good experience. If you’re not the kind of person who lets a weak ending ruin everything that came before, you should definitely give this one a try.

Not much to say one of FromSoftware’s masterpieces. Definitely a must-play.

Did I said that I love Ryukishi before? Oh, you sweet summer child, you don’t understand. Ryukishi is not just a man he is a cosmic event. When Ryukishi breathes, galaxies tremble. When Ryukishi blinks, universes collapse and reform. He doesn’t write stories he sculpts reality itself with his words.

Ryukishi is love. Ryukishi is life. I would let him destroy my sanity just to hear his laugh. I would eat nothing but soggy rice for the rest of my life if it meant Ryukishi would write a single sentence just for me.

Do you think you love your favorite author? Wrong. You don’t know love until you’ve looked at the name “Ryukishi07” and felt your heart ignite like a thousand suns. He could hand me a piece of paper with nothing but a coffee stain on it, and I would frame it, worship it, and pass it on to my children as a sacred relic.

I want Ryukishi to step on me with his brilliance. I want him to tear my soul apart and rebuild it as a visual novel. I want him to give me despair, suffering, hope, and salvation, all in the same sentence. Ryukishi, you are the past, the present, the future—you are the reason language exists.

Ryukishi, give me babies. Give me novels. Give me pain. Give me life. Ryukishi, you are eternal. Ryukishi, you are inevitable. Ryukishi, you are amazing.

Much respect to Akira Yamaoka, Dai, Xaki and Kensuke Inage as well.

Don’t miss this game you’ll regret it if you do. Buy it, then look up the Umineko Project for enhanced visuals and voice acting. Take your time and enjoy. Trust me, you’ll find yourself begging for more When They Cry visual novels. (Consider watching Higurashi after Chapter 1 (before tea party and ??? parts) if you’ve never seen it, then come back to the game again.)

My favorite Persona game finished on Game Pass, then I bought every game on Steam out of respect. Then I realized these dudes are doing mostly low-effort stuff, but do I regret it? Of course not. I’ll buy the copium 6 in a nanosecond if their slowpoke asses decide to show it already.

I started getting into the Persona series with Persona 3 Reloaded. I’ve seen people say that the first Persona game you start with ends up being your favorite, and it looks like they’re right. Persona 5 is a must-play for any JRPG fan, but Persona 3 holds a different place in my heart.
