I've played a few different hogs but none that really live up to Artifex Mundi games. I was given the chance to try out this game and it surprised me. Considering this is the 1st hog that Tuttifruitti have made I think it was a good job.

Before I start about what I liked the achievements are weird. I managed to unlock achievements like the one for getting them all when I hadn't. Completing a hos in 150 secs didn't unlock while the 90 secs did. However I did find out that by just starting the game up again it ended up unlocking. When I looked into the ingame achievements afterwards it does reveal that you only need 30 of the 40 to get all achievements done and I'm sure its the same for the collectables since I didn't get them all either

Anyway I liked how the collectables fit into the actual story instead of just forcing something else onto the players. The same for the areas where they are all connected by snakes instead of us just happening to be somewhere different for the sake of it. The puzzles are pretty meh, in the end they are just like all the other puzzles out there. I was glad to see a reset puzzle button, especially on a sliding puzzle which I suck at. I did encounter a problem with chapter 6 though where I clicked out of a puzzle before it could open up and I had to restart the whole chapter again. It wasn't to far in so it wasn't that big of a problem however because you cant skip anything for an achievement thats when it got annoying

Finally the story, it might be one of the better stories I've played. We play as mother trying to find her daughter and we don't let anything get in our way. No mount of lava, angry trees, evil witch ladies will stand in our way. We can fall 100ft from the air and you better believe we are surviving that! There's also the mystery surrounding us that gets revealed every now and then to make you continue playing. Frankly I'm not a big fan of the bonus stories ever but it was short and carried on the story a bit so its fine
