Great game. Super fun to race. Also can be very challenging if you set it up for sim racing

One of the best survival games out there. It's not perfect, but none do it better. The public servers can be pretty toxic, but it is easy enough to host your own server right from your own computer and play with your friends. After 1700+ hours, one of the most value per dollar I have ever gotten out of a video game. Tons of great mods to try on the workshop, and plenty of DLC content, both free and paid.

If you are mechanically inclined, and enjoy games like modded minecraft, this game is super addictive.

I was on the fence about buying this. Holy crap what a pleasant surprise! The Campaign is AWESOME. I have about 10 hours in so far on Ultra Violence and I've died PLENTY of times. It's fast paced run around and DESTROY. Totally does justice to the old original doom games, and even tips a nod to Brutal Doom. If Doom 3's slower pace was a bit of a letdown for you, this is the DOOM you have been waiting for. IDKFA all over the place! Not only that, but a bunch of Classic Doom 1&2 maps can be found as hidden areas throughout the game! Plenty of replayability as well with lots of secrets and higher difficulty modes.

The multiplayer isn't quite as good, but doesn't deserve all the hate it has been getting, it's fun. As well as standard TDM and control point modes, it has a few cool new modes including freeze tag, where you have to freeze the other team by shooting all of them. The first team with everyone frozen loses, and you can unfreeze your team mates by standing next to them for 5 seconds. The way the unlock system works, you can reach higher echelons (think COD Prestige) and still be unlocking stuff, which is cool. To be honest I've spent most of my 10 hours so far playing SP campaing, but from what I have played of MP, I'd say it's an overall solid multiplayer with some cool innovations.

Snapmap mode allows you to create your own maps and game modes which you can then play by yourself or in a party co-op or pvp. People have already started re-making original doom maps, and some are pretty darn good. Considering the game has only been out for a week, I can't wait to see what people will come up with. I've already seen strange maps like... a music maker? Wtf? This adds huge replayability to a game that already has decent replayability in it's SP campaign.

In conlusion, this is the true next-gen DOOM that Doom 1&2 deserved. If running around like a bad a$$ blasting demons to giblets while listening to hevay metal riffs sounds fun to you, get this game.

IT'S METAL AS ♥♥♥♥
