TL;DR: 5/10, Get it on sale

This is a situation where i dont like that Steam can only say recommend or not recommend instead of a rating system.

I did enjoy this game, it has nice environments, pretty windwaker-esque graphics, cool platforming mechanics, a few puzzles and challenges and over all pretty fluid gameplay. The metroidvania aspects are there, the 3d platforming aspects are there and I would say the mix of both is done acceptably well.

Now to the negatives about this:

- The combat is pretty boring, your ranged attack feels kind of useless and for melee its easy to just spam hit. If you do all the voids then even the bosses can be very easily facetanked without much need for any skill at all. During my entire playthrough I had a single game over and that was because I got bored fighting a boss and tried to speed it up

- The platforming is decent, except for the fact that you dont have that much control about your walking speed. There is no walk, you either go or you dont and this can make some things a bit hard

- The Voids are over all neat with my biggest problem being the Camera. This game does a lot of 3d Platforming things right, but especially in the most difficult Voids I wasnt struggling with the platforming, I was struggling with the camera (Especially the one with the corridor of saws where the camera for some reason needs to do an automatic 180 turn around you while youre praying to not fall down)

- The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ white disappearing blocks blend into the white background of the Voids for me and it is so difficult to judge the distance to them and whether youre gonna land on them or next to them. I would have loved some brightness/contrast setting

also (and this is just me being lazy and not wanting to rebind i guess) both A and B being confirm options for text boxes with Y being the cancel button definitely confused me for the entire playthrough because my habits are not used to that

Its unfortunate that i have to give this game a "not recommended", i would rather give it a 5/10 rating. For what it is i would still say i recommend getting it if its on sale, otherwise only if you really think this game speaks to you

unfortunate because the setting is pretty interesting, lots of wasted potential here, would have honestly preferred for the story to be from only one character but more polished than the gimmick of having it playable from two points of view.

Like the first one but better. More abilities, amazing soundtrack, good story and even more fun just dashing around the map. Took me a bit longer to 100% than the first one
