I am a fan of the first game. This one feels like more of the same which isn't a bad thing. The graphics have been upgraded nicely. I have beaten Chronos in early access and the last time I completed the Olympus run it ended at a sub boss. Since the game is nearly out of early access I have restarted my save and I'm experiencing the game again.

I like the deduction aspects of the game. There are tons of glitches, and the ghosts are assets from the unity asset store, but it's got a lot of charm.

I thought this game looked quite pretty and wanted to give it a shot. It is basically a very pretty closet where the walls slide in and out with extremely simple tasks on each wall that ramp up in complexity as each one is completed.

After a few minutes of simple tasks on walls around you, the walls fall away and you are now in space playing an odd portal basketball game where only one portal gives you positive points and all the other portals give you negative points. The good portal randomly changes every 10-15 seconds as you quickly try to cram as many of the floating crystals in the hole as you can.

So the puzzles you see in the trailer appear to be tasks that give you more time to play the portal basketball game. And the portal basketball game is the only thing that appears to affect your score.

This is not the greatest game in the world, but I can roll with that much. The real problem I ran into is the awful grabbing and physics in the game. With by valve index I couldn't grab the tools that were needed to interact with the puzzles, there is a pickaxe wall, and it was next to impossible to smash the crystal on that one for some reason.

The game lost my interest extremely quickly so I didn't bother remapping the controls for the index, but I did check to see if there was already something in the controller mappings... It didn't even appear that the game was capable of having it's controls remapped at first glance.

I wanted to like the game, but sadly it was only eye candy without a solid game under it. It honestly reminded me of those toys you see in doctor's offices where toddlers can slide beads back and forth around crazy wires. Just busywork.

As with most VR games this one is fairly short. It boils down to a series of puzzles and "hunt for the thing" or "find the right key" situations.

I liked the ascetic of the game the style of most of the objects was big and chunky and fun. The foul mouthed Scout is humorous the whole game through... There is a meat grinder puzzle that was very loud and didn't give you a chance to get out of it until you completed it which was a bit rough.

There are NUMEROUS bugs and graphical issues that I came across. For instance the meat grinder moves slowly inside of a popcorn machine and will chew your hand off, I solved the puzzle and the meat grinder kept going slowly in the same direction across the room, through the wall, and across the entire sound stage. It was odd. Between things like that and the restart states not making sense and firing the incorrect audio when I had collected everything to get through a door but the game telling me I was messing up by trying to open the door there were several things that would confuse me if I didn't just force my way through and keep trying until the game realized the current game state.

If you can look past the bugs and the abrupt and jarring ending this is a great little game. I would love to revisit a larger version of this idea.

I really want to like this game, but it is very punishing and the core game loop is frustrating because of limitations set on the tools you have.

I like the style of the game, it is very pretty. But there is a lot of distance you have to slowly travel to get to the next pretty area. And your oxygen runs out so quickly that you are on a very short leash at the start of the game. It feels like a game that makes you want to explore but just won't let you play how you want.

This would be fine if everything else about the game was streamlined and thought through... but resource gathering is painful as well. And resource gathering is the core of the game. You are in space, you have to whack balls of elements to break them down. every time you hit them they move away from you. So you are chasing down stuff in space and wasting your oxygen flailing around. This feels like the devs making something that is fun to watch others struggle with, but not fun to actually do yourself.

Again I really want to like this game, but if you look at subnautica, it works because you start and you can explore anywhere. You can just go. With this one you have a single point of oxygen that you can build from, but it really limits you early on when it is making it's first impression on you. This makes it feel like a game that murders you for trying to explore. I'll keep looking in on it. Hopefully things change in later updates.

I enjoy this game a lot. It harkens back to Legend of Zelda II for the NES. But somehow it overcomes all of the shortcomings of that game (which was the VERY FIRST video game I ever bought.). If I have anything to say bad about the game it is that it isn't done yet. I want more so chop chop lets see some updates and see where the story goes!

I once tried setting a propane tank on fire to see what would happen. This scratches that same itch without the hearing damage which is nice.
