Top-down Splinter Cell. Very good gameplay. Played hippie-mode where I couldn't kill anyone unless the game forced me to, and man-oh-man, was it difficult. I enjoyed figuring out the movements of everyone, and finding the best path to choose without getting detected. Now, you will die a lot. So if the term "trial and error" rubs you the wrong way, then this won't be the game for you. If you get frustrated, take a step back for a few hours and come back. You will beat it.

Story is what you expect. Dialogue was a bit corny, since everyone in the game uses "♥♥♥♥" twice every sentence. However, I got used to it after a couple missions.

8/10. Good for Splinter Cell fans, but not for everyone.

Took a long while of getting into the game to actually have it click. So glad I gave it a chance, because it was quite a memorable experience. Do not look up anything about the story because it's a game that can only be played once.

Classic! Very campy. But because of that, it shines. Short and sweet. Still just as good as I remember.

A Powerful Airship!
A Powerful Fleet!
A Powerful set of Flak Guns!
Add to that lots of Lasers and a perfect soundtrack!
Then sprinkle "K-9A's been shot down!" all over it, and the formula is complete!

Very good mod! Fun story, difficult puzzles. Love the characters. Story was a little rushed at the end. However, with this only being a fan-made mod, that doesn't matter to me anyway.

Very good. 8/10

Talos 2 is an incredible game! Everything including the puzzles, pacing, graphics, story, characters, etc. are all objectively better! This is what a sequel should do (and is ironically how the philosophy of the game is interpreted). Conserve what needs to be kept because it's good. Progress with what needs to be removed or updated because it's lacking. The developers used these ideas and made the game better than the first!

Puzzles:
Puzzles feel more balanced. They took out mechanics that were not as favorable in the first game, and added new mechanics which are incredibly interesting+fun! Are they as difficult as the first? No. But that is a good thing for the overall pacing of the game. I hear that a dev said DLC is gonna have "the hard puzzles." Cannot wait!

Graphics:
Graphics are unbelievable! Downright beautiful game. From the vast landscapes, facial features, and mind blowing effects, I will say without a shadow of a doubt that Talos 2 is 110% gorgeous.

Music:
The music felt more "driving" than the first one, which suits it better. It's more of a social story so having the score be bolder and stronger was a great choice. Got chills near the end.

Characters:
I absolutely ADORE these characters. I want to give every one of them a hug! Every character had their personal opinions and motivations. However, they still had nuance and were still affected by what happens in the story. The voice acting was incredible! At first, they might feel off, but you'll understand that every voice fits each character perfectly.

Story (Spoilers!):
While the philosophical contents didn't blow me away, like in TP1, that doesn't mean this one wasn't exceptional.
Expanding on the ideas between Faith and Doubt, and aiming it to an unpredictable variable, humanity as a whole, was something I really liked. I'm still surprised at the route I took. While I try to be optimistic, it does take a good amount of effort. I'm pretty sure it's hard for most of us. Gonna be taking these philosophical concepts from The Talos Principle 2 and applying them to my life.

Finished everything except the stars, and it lasted about 40 hours. For $30 base price, it's definitely worth your time.

10/10 one of the best games I've played.

Now that I finished the game, I want to give my FULL opinion on Ad Infinitum:

I thoroughly love this game! At the beginning, I was interested in it because of the WW1 aspect. I am a WW1 buff, so this game piqued my interest back when it was first being developed. While that's what got me to purchase this game, the story and soundtrack made me fully engrossed. All the characters were extremely interesting! Reading, listening, and watching the family drama unfold had me itching to delve more into their minds. What really sticks out, in comparison to most horror games and movies, is that I REALLY CARED for all the family members in Ad Infinitum. They weren't vessels to move the story along, and I really appreciate that. (Also, change the voice language to German. While the English VA's did a great job, I felt that the British accents made me lose immersion. It also syncs better to the lip movement)

The soundtrack is incredible; especially for an indie title. It's not always "creepy horror music". Instead the score gave me feelings of whimsical adventure and bombastic power! I'm so glad I downloaded it so I can listen to the tracks of the boss battles.

Ad Infinitum is really pretty and grotesque in all the right places. There was a lot of detail in the mansion, trenches, and monsters. Even though I had a few stutters around the flames, it never broke the immersion.

Gameplay was ok. Basically Layers of Fear or Amnesia. Most puzzles were good, but there were 1 or 2 that were a bit ridiculous to find the answers. Exploring the mansion and the trenches was fun.

Spooky factor was just my cup of tea. Since I don't get scared that easily, I'm glad the developers went head-on in making me feel tense and creeped-out, instead of relying on jumpscares. While there are jumpscares, there are only a few of them. Yes, they did get me.

Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised in the direction Ad Infinitum went. Good ending left me very satisfied. Great work!
