I have played the demo 3 times through on the citizen difficulty, and it is just as fun as the first time, every time. I have such high hopes for this game and I am so happy to see Casper Van Dien in full support of the project. I am a big fan of the combined 2D and 3D graphics style, and I hope that this will mean that the full game has the goofiness and campiness of older boomer shooters like Duke Nukem, while still retaining some modern gameplay elements. To that end, I think the game is fun as it is, but a few suggestions:
- I agree with some reviewers below that the fast reload mechanic is a bit distracting. Doing a center screen prompt instead of the off-screen hud minigame would be helpful.
- I think the chainsaw on the mechs should be buffed a bit, because I see no reason to use that weapon in-game. Maybe it could use up more fuel than it does already in exchange for more damage. I do hope to see more vehicles in the main game as well!
- Also regarding the mechs, I think it should be harder to kill friendly soldiers while walking around. I understand that the soldiers are fairly fragile, but it is kind of annoying to call a mech in and defend a point, just to finish with zero soldiers left because I've stepped on them all.
Otherwise, excellent game! I am so excited to see what comes next.

Edit: Oh my God I can do the thing from the 1st movie with the tankers. I'm sold.

Early Access Review
Very enjoyable gunplay, intriguing setting and story, and a charming art style. The game has earned its own merits, but if I were to compare it with anything, it's almost like if Hotline Miami and Max Payne 1 had a first person shooter love child. The game is simple and a bit unforgiving if you choose not to think through your actions. I will definitely be waiting for more updates!

A fun look into the successes and stresses that come with being the President of the United States. If you enjoy games where each decision has an impact in one way or another, then you should seriously think about playing this demo, and adding the main game to your wish list! I loved how some decisions would come back to bite me in the butt farther down the line, sometimes even towards the end game! There is so much potential for this quirky political sim, and I will definitely be awaiting this game's full release!

Great game that really lets me delve deep into my dreams of a Galactic Government. As a Hearts of Iron IV fan, I was very worried that this game would be just as stressful (and as complicated bc I'm so casual lol) but I was so wrong. The game is actually relatively simple and has a very non-intrusive but helpful tutorial. The level of detail that goes into managing your empire really lets you feel like you are making an impact in the future of your civilization. From humble beginnings as a fledgling civilization within one system, to a sprawling empire that encompasses multiple planets, systems, and species... 9/10! Minus one point for the fact that a lot of content is still locked behind DLCs. Not as bad as HoI4 though.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, this game no longer works. I will leave my positive rating as the games were fun while they lasted. Shame they are gone :///

(REVIEWED AS NOMINATION FOR STEAM AWARDS)

Let me start off by saying it is truly terrible what's happening with flash player and the internet. I'm not fully educated in why that change is happening, but it is a sad one nonetheless. That's like, years of internet history that will be erased if someone doesn't do something about it.

That being said, Ninja Kiwi has done something about it!

It is really honorable that they not only archived their games to preserve for future players, but they also put them on a more widespread platform and even maintained the free and easy to access status that was associated with flash games!

My childhood is really rooted in some of these games. I remember spending a few hours mindlessly shooting zombies in the SAS games and defending my trailer park from hordes of the undead. Even while I've never been a big Bloons fan, I finally gave it a shot and I see why it is so enjoyable! My own opinions aside, this collection is great not only for what it is, but what it means. It is a collection of outstanding games that thankfully are being preserved so that future gamers will know what came before, and these pieces of our childhood won't be forgotten.

(Its still kinda funny to see the microtransaction option not work anymore though lol)

I have never hated my friends more in a 5 minute period than when I played with all of them on this game for the first time. 10/10

I bought this game to simp for a girl.

She's really cool, I swear I'm gonna get somewhere. I think maybe if I buy her another bundle she'll come around.

The game is good too, really scary.

At its current state, no I would not recommend anyone buy this game if they are looking for a truly memorable and enjoyable gameplay experience. If you are a marvel fan and just enjoy seeing your beloved characters on screen, then sure, buy this game. Personally I love how the characters are written and appreciate the nods they make to the comics and hero origins. I also think the game may get better as time goes on, but that's the big issue. As it stands the game is unfinished. The game is repetitive, buggy, frustratingly difficult at times and can crash at the most inopportune moments. I run this game on an Acer Nitro 5 so I expected crashes, but my friend who runs this on a nearly $1500 PC has experienced EVEN MORE crashes than I have and that is unacceptable. Enemies can hit you and kill you in the stupidest ways. Funniest thing is the ingame marketplace seemed to be the most fully developed part of the game even during launch week.

TL;DR:
If you are a marvel fan, you might enjoy this game. If you liked the Division, Destiny, and Borderlands, you might enjoy this game. If you are looking for a way to spend $60 and the above does not apply, do not buy, wait for sale.

This game is an absolute masterpiece that I find myself coming back to time and time again. No matter how long it has been or how I feel during the day, I know that if I'm looking for something to do and I open up Risk of Rain 2 I will not be disappointed. Be it with friends, or even by yourself, you can have hours of fun shooting monsters, dying from monsters, exploring and discovering. That last part is one of my favorite aspects to this game. There is always something new to learn and find in this game, giving that extra bit of mystery and player engagement that any good title wants to have. Buy this game, have your friends buy it, your family, your aunts and uncles, everybody.
