Borderlands 2 is a game that throws you in the deep end of the pool by getting you shooting up more things than you can imagine minutes after starting the story. It is recommended to play with friends for more fun and co-operation, however playing on your own is fine as the diverse characters and the funny things they have to say keeps you entertained all the way through. The leveling system is made to keep you at the right level during the game, so after 1 or 2 levels of grinding, you will not be getting much experience to level up at all, this could be a posotive or negative depending on the way you look at it. I have heard complaints of the games art style and more specifically the outlines, however this art style gives off the same vibe as the game itself, and the game was not made to be deadly serious, with you shouting commands to your friends, it was made to be fun and interesting, and that is what the art style delivers. The skill tree varies for each character, giving lots of replay value to the game to see what combinations of skills are possible to make the most powerful class possible.

The DLC for the game hase their ups and downs in some ways. The DLC's for the first time run-through are set at specific levels, which makes it hard for you to be at the right level for each of them as they vary a bit depending on your level, but only to a limitation. You can easily go over the recommended level by playing through one DLC and end up being over-powered on the the other DLC. However, these things aside as they are only really the first time run-through that it occurs on, the DLC offers new worlds to explore and hours of more interesting storyline, witty phrases, familiar faces (and some new ones) and fun to be had.

I strongly recommend this for someone looking for hours of fun with their friends, or on their own. Anyone who is skilled and wants to make a combination of skills that work together nicely in the skill tree, or fun someone just wanting to get stuck into a game.
