Let me make this clear:
THIS GAME NEEDS A LOT OF WORK

Now with that out of the way, it is so much fun. I've never played older battlefields, so this is new to me. However, it's still an absolute blast to play. I'll say some of the pros, and then list a whole bunch of the cons.

The Pros:
- Gunplay feels amazing
- Good hit reg after the update
- Most guns have some form of identity (not all reskins of the same gun)
- Fun alternative game modes, Doesn't punish too heavily for spam dying
- Silly ways to have fun (driving in circles with vehicles, rocket launchers, explosives, gadgets, etc)

Now, the bad (this is going to be a long list because its a lot of small issues that sorta conglomerate into a big one)

The cons:
- Battlepass in a 70$ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.
- Why is there a battle royale mode????
- Gauntlet genuinely blows
- The challenge registration sucks and a lot of the things you need to do for the challenges don't trigger (incendiary grenade damage only counted the initial grenade when it collided with the enemy, not the incendiary effect afterwards)
- Some challenges literally prevent you from playing the game because of the BS ways you have to do them (headshots from 250 meters, get multikills with explosives, heal teammates, get smoke assists etc)
- Forces people who have already paid for the game to play the free-to-play gamemodes such as battle royale and gauntlet to do challenges which give tokens towards the PAID battle pass.....
- Only grants a small limited number of challenge rerolls, so you can't consistently get rid of the battle royale/gauntlet ones
- Recon is lowkey useless lmao
- Game is getting a little too adventurous with cosmetics since they prided themselves on not turning into COD
- You can't choose to not autofill your squad, even when playing with others
- MAKE ASSAULT BOOST INCREASE REGEN!!!

the consensus
It's a really good game, it truly is. It's just plagued with a lot of poor dev decisions and not doing a very good job of listening to the community unless literally everyone is yelling about it. It's fun, but probably don't play the battle royale mode/gauntlet until they stop forcing the challenges.

I really, REALLY want to suggest this game, I really do.

But holy hell man, the spell combinations make absolutely no sense. I am BEGGING them just rework the system to have it use a path like other wand games do. If this changes, I would absolutely buy, but as of right now I would only play the demo, even if they release it soon.

Update #1: They have started banning people to appealing/asking for a refund for the price drop on the reddit/discord. I'm telling you, stay far far away from this game if you value your money.

(I convinced a friend to get me this game so I could leave a bad review without spending actual money on it)

TL;DR, Don't buy, Shady Developer/s

I have a couple dozen hours spent once you take into account Tempo > Steam, probably roughly 150+. With that being said, these developer/s have burned every bit of trust a lot of the community had in them.

The Pros:

The game by itself is a ton of fun. All the characters are amazing and fun to play (even if not all of them are fun to play against). While there are some mechanics that can annoy the hell out of you, it's ultimately a fundamentally strong game.

- Fun game
- Build diversity options
- Unique designs (When it doesn't look like AI)

The Cons:

Basically, they pulled the rug under everyone who was waiting for the steam release. They ended up making a free game cost 40$, and made every character an additional 20????. This alone is already enough to make me not want to support them, but then they also f*cked over the initial beta testers. If you had spent anywhere from the 60-120$ that was required to get into the early beta, you STILL had to pay an additional 40-60$ just to get the game on steam + with stelle. Also if you bought the game back when it was 40$, you havent received any compensation for the 20$ price drop!!!!!! So if you buy it now and they lessen it again (which they fking better), you still wont get anything!!!!!

Initially on Tempo Launcher, you could buy EVERYTHING with gems. Those gems were also obtainable by opening chests and, as advertised, eventually could be obtained by selling on the promised "players market" for duplicate skins. Out of nowhere, they pulled the idea COMPLETELY. Now duplicate skins will be converted into gems, and gems are effectively useless. You can't use them in place of ranked tickets to play ranked (tickets are also gone and were converted into gems!!!), you cant use them to buy characters, and you cant use them to buy expansions. It's gross business practice and sketchy from everyone involved.

Next, if you wanted to speak OUT about how you thought it was unfair, immediate bans from the reddit and discord. If you made a youtube video about it, mass dislikes. You can't even comment on their steam announcements without them sifting through it and trying to get rid of every last bad rep available to the public.

- Sketchy business practice
- Screwing over community
- Suppressing any opposition
- Terrible Price + all characters cost 20$?????
- Game is very unstable. You will frequently lose runs to server de-sync because of random crashes.
- Very RNG dependent, but that's every roguelike so don't think too much about it.
- Sh*tty company

Thank you for coming to my ted talk. please don't buy this game unless they drop the price of everything, including characters.

Honestly a great game! I would love to see a sequel to this that's a little more story driven and gave more choices than just "this is the cheapest next upgrade." Besides that it's an amazing game that I got on sale. I got it for the tag of it being an idler (which it really isn't until later on when you just load up the highest difficulty you can do and let your mouse do the work while you watch youtube), and i still wasn't disappointed. Give it a try, you won't regret it

This is terrible. Don't downvote the base game, as that's spitting in the face of Hopoo games. Simply just hate review EVERYTHING GEARBOX RELEASES INSTEAD!

I've known about this game since I was a little kid (8ish). I remember sitting down on my bed, pulling out my baby teeth while I watched YAW (You Always Win Minecraft and Zombies). This game is essentially part of my childhood. With that being said, The game has:
- An ungodly amount of bugs
- The zombie AI is dogwater and often gets stuck on corners or decides to break walls instead of just walking through the open path
- Zombies can hit you from a WILD distance
- Dumbass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ zombie dogs
- Broken bones last so long you might as well kill yourself and just take the exp penalty
- Fps hitting around 30 on horde nights due to the amount of un-optimized code. Serious, the optimization is BAD.
- Plenty more that I don't have time to write out due to having to get ready for college.

With all that being said, this game is AMAZING.
- The zombies ramp in difficulty as you go
- The POIs are interesting and yet still reward veterans by allowing them to use their prior knowledge to skip to where the cache is
- Weapons are fairly unique and feel good to make a specific build around (rip old sledgehammers)
- Zombies are always fun to genocide, giving you this feeling of hopelessness in the early game when hordes spawn, but eventually being able to purge them as if I was Germany in WWII.

Running out of time to type since college, but this is an amazing game, I recommend it for everyone.
BEST WITH FRIENDS!!!

I have never played Battlefield, but I don't think I ever will if this game stays popular. The graphics are surprisingly good for being a blocky voxel game, and the guns feel incredible. Really the only qualm I have with the game is the maps. Man some of them are miserable, but since there's an in-game survey system about the maps, I'm sure they will be fixed in due time. Great game, grab it!

Okay. First let's get a disclaimer, this game is sick. The tower defense isn't really an element, and is more just a visualization of your grind towards currency. After a certain point when you start maxing out modules (the upgrades), you kind of just sit there and wait until you have the modules you want or enough currency to leave. Not a bad thing, just a heads up for people who are coming to this game for the TD aspect, it turns from TD to idle game rather quickly after the first 2 hours or so. Besides that it's a really good game! My first session lasted for 3600 minutes before I had to restart my computer, it's wildly addicting. There are only a few qualms I have with the game. First being the minigame systems. Some of them just.. don't feel good or rewarding enough to bother with. For example, the factory and mine are just kind of useless. The mine is good for gems atleast but the factory just kind of sits there and I don't bother throwing that much time at it. The shipyard is kind of underwhelming but not *bad*, and some of the experiments go from being really interesting to being downright painful to do (EG the water one, the light one, the nature one, so on and so forth). Those are less complaints and more just things I want to tell the dev if they ever read this. Regardless, super neat game, I love it, solid 8.5/10, especially for a free game!
