The first time I tried playing this game, I was in pain at the amount of Alex's monologuing to the camera, and then my internet completely died immediately after the elevator scene. My SO was watching at the time, and given how it's been less than ideal since, we joked that Alex Yiik cursed my ISP.

Now that I.V has come out, and I've played it a little bit more, not only have I gotten past the Curse point, the downloading of the update had none of the mind-melting slowdowns that similar updates have had. Now? With the toned down yapping, the improved presentation of the yapping that is still present, and the actually GOOD combat system? This game is actually pretty decent. Plus I'm always a sucker for banger music, and this game has had it in SPADES in even just these first few hours.

Now we just wait and see if the internet issues have also subsided.

This game is 5 Autistic People saving the world with 1 of the 2 empirically correct ships in all of gaming. 11/10, got my SO to start to overcome their social anxiety and interact with other people again.

The gameplay is neat, and the songs are OK, but the calibration tools are laughable, and the AI is a joke. I was KOing the bots on Very Hard difficulty in less than 60 seconds with more than 3/4 of my health. The only reason I even lost health was because I hadn't built the muscle memory to spin my analog stick and end with RT, because what other game needs you to do that while doing very specific button presses? As far as I know, NONE.

A fighting game needs a community for it to thrive. This game had an all time peak of 32 players 4 days after the game released.

Unless you already have friends lined up to play matches with you, don't even bother,

Just a few steps above an idle game

Super unique, super fun. I pirated the game at first, bought it legit after playing through the first boss. The game is a good challenge, even for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like me, but the plethora of accessibility options/cheats available to you from the start mean everyone has the ability to experience everything. Even if the final boss can go die in a hole.
