The game sort of controls like a speed running game. The kind of game that has quirky physics but otherwise good (ish) controls.
It's basically three controls you use. The thumb stick and the two triggers. That's it, the rest is in the "physics" and the level design.
Seeing as how i won't be recommending this game, let's start with the bad...

THE BAD
-----------------

- The game artificially holds the player(s) back by level mechanics (electric surfaces) which makes the whole point of having a "new record" balloon fly up as you finish a level.
- It features a piss poor camera that doesn't follow the player, it just scrolls on scripted events and it scrolls SLOW. Some levels are literally a crap shoot if one is looking to go fast and thus outpace the camera.
- There's literally no feedback on whether you have grabbed onto something or not. You have to go by sound and feel and sometimes you are tricked into thinking you have grabbed on but you haven't. They could easily have made the controller rumble when a grab takes place.
- There are ONLY about 60 levels in a game where levels is EVERYTHING. I finished all normal levels in about an hour.
- Most of the levels are very linear and somewhat tedious to be frank. "Oh, just another connect the dots level... How fun!"
- The physics are quirky, sometimes it does very strange things.
- Fine control of the hands isn't a thing. You have to FORCE stuff to happen.

THE GOOD
-----------------------

- Very suitable for a short (but that's all though) play session with friends. Lots of fun can be had slingling your friend across the level.
- The idea is excellent, the enjoyment is there for a moment. It leaves you wanting more levels.
- They made an effort in making the game "cute" which will go down well with a certain player base.
