This is probably one of the best formats I've seen a mystery presented, and the story lying beneath it all is gut-wrenching and utterly stellar.

the game is absolutely incredible, but as long as the AI-upscaled content that was introduced in the major October 25th 2024 update is present, I sadly cannot recommend this port in good faith. Avoid at all costs until this is fixed and said AI-assisted butchery of the game's assets is are removed completely. What a disgrace.

immaculate horror/puzzle game. Controls perfectly, vast majority of puzzles are exactly the right level of difficult, story is intriguing, Mara is a fantastic protagonist, sound design is perfect

Without getting into spoilers, this is a *FANTASTIC* little occult horror VN that tells a tight, interesting, not-that-long story, set in a setting with a great, cozy vibe, ending with a touching message. Despite it not being the highest budget VN around (as, for example, the game does not have voice acting at all - which I did not find to be a detriment for the game, but I could imagine it being a bother to some people), I'd say that considering how great of an experience this game is - and for such a cheap price - it is absolutely worth your time. Hopefully we can get some more games in this style from Square Enix, considering that with the world they've set up in this game, PARANORMASIGHT could become a really great horror anthology series.

Addictive and consistently fun. When playing this game, never have I felt like it ever got old. It good.

My first experience with the game:
1) Bought the game for 6 dollars in the winter sale
2) Tried to play, got the "Service Unavailable" message
3) Decided to go to sleep and try tomorrow, and if it will not work I will ask for a refund
4) Tried to open the game the day after, the game finally worked (thanks Square for unnecessary online services for a 19 years old game)
5) Played 8 hours straight without noticing that it was 8 hours
