Adorable

Constant white screen. The moment i alt f4, i get the studio logos and then it closes. 10/10

Huh I thought gaming studios in the 21st century would know that the keys I press while in game should be in-game, not controlling my desktop.
Ignoring the stuttering for no reason on damn cutscenes, WASD opens stuff on my desktop without controlling the character. Everything else moves fine. I changed settings, windowed, full screen, etc. Nothing works.
Even FromSoftware knows better and they didn't even put the correct key prompts in their tutorials.

Ok, LOVE the idea but god awful implementation. I was willing to put up with a bunch of issues until what happened today.

So first and foremost, this is a very simplistic game (which is not a problem) with basic graphics, which is not important to me at all. My favorite game of all time is Dark Souls 3, which visually doesn't look impressive. The reason I bring this up is the performance is legitimately atrocious. I have a good PC and i need to leave the game running on my computer for at least 5 minutes without touching my mouse or keyboard so the game won't freeze until it's fully booted - this reminds me of those old TVs you had to leave to warmup so the image would be in color. This already is unacceptable for a such a simple game.

Moving on, too many things are asked and unexplained. I'll give some examples. Your pets have a happiness meter. When they're sick, they obviously get 'unhappy'. Fine. When they get sick, you need to order supplies to figure out what they have, what to give them, etc. You have to 3-5 times give them rounds of medication in staggered times (e.g. every 5 minutes, you gotta come back). And then finally, they're healed. Great.
The problem: sometimes, your pets are not sick (if they're sick, you get a notification normally) but their happiness bar goes down. And if they get too unhappy, they get taken away and you lose reputation. I was getting frustarted by this but i could live with that too.
Now, sometimes, they don't even explain to you what to do to get the pet happy: some of them have quests (e.g. they'll be happier if they go on a walk for a certain amount of time). Others just say they're not happy and there's no objectives...ok? What on earth?

And to me, the straw that broke the camel's back - if too many pets get taken away (due to the badly implemented happiness mechanic i discussed earlier), the game will 'shut down' your shelter, i.e. wipe your progress and you need to restart.

So to recap, the game runs horribly, you need to do a bunch of repetitive and badly explained busy work to improve the happiness of your pets except for about half where it's not explained how to get them happier. And due to no fault of your own, when the game decides you suck enough, it wipes your progress. This shouldn't be a mechanic....ever... in a game like this, let alone in one as badly implemented as this one.

Come on! Such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥* great premise and squandered in the most absurd of ways.

Weird spin on the souls like formula.
Very bizarre and holier than thou take on the standard souls plot.
God awful optimization with no way to lower settings. My game was stuttering.
Very, very disappointing - it looks amazing.

Constant busy work and bad performance. Typical open world game. Looks great, no substance to pad its runtime.

Great so far. Almost ruined my experience when they didn't tell me i was over 100% equip load and couldn't deflect at all
