Early Access Review
This is very much a game for builder enthusiasts. Either epic scale building or efficiency building or micro-manage where crew sleep vs power nodes/weapons platforms etc.

Also you can certainly go the fighty fighty route or take a step back and focus on mining/resource collection/manufacturing. However accept that you'll be doing a lot of fighting if going into career mode, if you want to progress at a decent rate at least as of now, and I would not expect that to change anytime soon.

That said, for creatives, just stick it on said mode and have free reign on building!

If you are a loot horder like me, make (steal) yourself a caravan to chug it all around, and when it's full, make it bigger!

Think Titan Quest, a more visually appealing and polished gameplay version of it. Impo the story was more captivating and the Constellations added a nice little extra for your builds. If you're finally bored of D3's seasons resetting and grinding, try this!

It's no Diablo 2, but then what is?

You could argue the original game set the standard for CRPGs back when pen & paper was the norm and most RPGs were text, static image based or just looking like Lego on a screen. Then sequal came and did what the first did, but so much bigger and so much better, over 5 glorious CD's of awesomeness.

The story continues where the first left off (mostly) and after a brief stint in jail, had you delving deeper into your heritage, catapulting your charater into the "uncertain" future with an epic climax to rival most games today. Then when you thought it all was over... the expansion came and just added more epic to a final conclusion.

This Remastered edition leaves much of the original features with 2 new "questlines" to explore, all with some much needed engine and UI updates (with some not so much needed overly highlighted avatars) and well worth the cash to play the pretty vast original story game (if you want to do *everything*, expect a good few weeks of play). BUT if you do find a cheap 2nd hand copy of this game with it's expansion, or even the 4 disc of both 1 and 2 and thier expansions (which would probably play much better on the current crop of OS's), you'd be a fool to pass them up.

In my not so unbiased opinion...
