i enjoyed horizon zero dawn because of the simplicity of the gear, you had tiers of the weapons that got better as you upgraded them and got better tiers
forbidden west shat all over that, gave you a whole bunch of weapon bloat with random uneccesary stats, nerfed overriding for basically no reason, had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ story which undid some of the main protagonist's development from the first game, and honest to god kinda just took the good mechanics from the first game and tried to turn them into what they shouldnt have been
get the first game, not this

im gonna be totally honest the devs are showing their true colors more and more with the official dev talk stuff
admitting to nerfing things without putting them in the patch notes, lying about it for days, then finally admitting to it with their only justification being 'we tried not to but we cant help ourselves sorry'
theyre also using warbonds as temporary fixes to problems theyre introducing to us like making ragdolls worse, 'fixing them' (reverting the change they made that *made* it that way in the first place), and then giving us a warbond that makes you mildly more resistant to ragdolls
this isnt worth your money
