Darkest Dungeon is the only RPG to ever make me yell out loud in frustration by seeing my elite squad get killed off one by one. It is still the best RPG I have ever played. Darkest Dungeon is worthy of an award because it is a game that you want to love but find yourself hating it each time you play, but can't escape it.
