Crap just crap. From a team that seems to follow its user base (most of the time) this was such a massive WTF HTF HFS bomb and flop. No players for an online game skip this one. Really! Active players so low they added bots so people could "play online".

There is just not enough content to call this a game.

DIVE TOGETHER OR NOT AT ALL. I am glad we stopped that but try that ♥♥♥♥ again and there will be no returning joy. Next time we have to walk away together most likely we won't be returning.

::THIS IS A NEGATIVE REVIEW:: I got this to support the DEV team behind this game and knowing how much I hate it I would buy again to do the same thing. I feel like I am being punished having to play The Wolf Wars more then once to get all the skins. Yogger Awesome. Skins cool. The Wolf Wars zone is a hot steaming pile of time waste. I would of been super duper just paying the 10 bucks to get the new character and skins minus the player hating Wolf Wars zone. Wolf Wars takes away everything that kept me playing even after 150+ hours. And yes I know you don't have to play it every time but even three times is three times to many. Last thing. Real ♥♥♥♥ move guaranteeing a purple wolfy after slogging through Wolf Wars and making ever other pet a random chance. Feels like a forced incentive to waste the players time.

I liked The Forest and I like Sons of the Forest. However I <NOW as of 2/28/23> would subject people I call my friends to the pants on head decisions the developers made. From the janky free building based off of looking at just the right spot to get the alignment you want and random duping bugs. With practice the building gets better but the true issue is the inventory equipping. Want to pick that berry? Well the game equips it. OLD GRIPE----> {Want to get your ax back out or your spear when a cannibal comes screaming out of the woods? Good thing it is in a holder on your back pack so you can just grab it quick... WRONG! You have top open your whole pack on the ground and equip it that way as the cannibal is beating you to death. BAH! You can hold "I" to "quick" access your backpack items. And yes you can but your character stops in their tracks and just holds the pack in front of you stopping from doing anything else as you have to hover over it with your mouse and click to equip it just like oping it on the ground and you have a clearer view of your items to click on them making it faster. Both ways your ass ends up on a menu. Does the studio hate people for playing The Forest? If Steam makes an Un-Quality of life award Sons of the Forest is the front runner. After making The Forest playable they tried the best they could to not make that mistake again. So yeah I will play it but likely alone since this game hates you for playing it and I like my friends. Really how the hell does this guy get his pack off and on so easy but can't use a f*cking pocket! I need my car keys so let me take my pants off in half a second to get them out of the pocket then put them back on as fast.}

Gauntlet rouge-like RPG. Done well? Yeah. Yeah it is.

Game play is simple but has a well done timing challenge. The synergy between the family members is done very well too. Best parts for me was the style of story telling and art style. I still spend the most time explaining this game to someone when I get to how much I like the "home" screen. Each time I am at it I sit and wait watching the different parts of it waiting for some unseen dialog or animation.

It has gone stagnate. It feels like no effort was put into this. Not that the brand was ever really fresh after the first for game play, or two for the humor. Got it on sale and super glad for it.

Just meh. Play League or Heroes. Both are faster and better put together.
