Seems like most people reviewing this negatively is because of the horrible pr this game had prior to launch and the removal of online features. Yes NISA is at fault for the horrible transparency with updates and not telling us online content would be cut. However they don't realize, you don't NEED the online content.

This is an amazing game with or without online features but they decide to damage the reputation of the game instead.
The story was enjoyable, the skill animations are flashy, the characters are mostly enjoyable (some dlc characters take a bit of getting used to hearing).

If you want a game to just grind, have fun, and sink a bunch of hours into, this is a great game to play.

Grand Theft Auto with friends.
It doesn't get better than that.
