Hands down one of the greatest RPGs of all time, this game with all DLCs is well worth the investment as you get hundreds of game-play hours.

I have poured my life and soul into this game from one time to another. It has an insanely steep learning curve that I myself enjoy. You will be judged by irritated teammates during your learning process, which can take a toll on your experience. I suggest you try to find a big pool of friends to keep your matches fun, it will be necessary to rise through the trenches of the lowest ranked matches as most people are still learning the basic mechanics of the game.

I highly suggest you get Dota Plus if you are serious about playing this game on a competitive basis as it will provide essential statistics to improve your game-play. Other than that exception all purchases are optional and are purely cosmetic.

There are literally thousands of community-made arcades games to liven things up when you are feeling up to playing a serious match.

This game has been out forever and will still see excessive changes in patch notes, some are good, some are bad, and some will add the most spectacular additions to the game that make you want to try it out and try crazy new strategies.

With all that being said, please... for the love of Gaben... buy wards

The following review mas made before the recent patch and is made from a day-1 player who feels like he got robbed out of 20$

I paid twenty dollars to get a month of premium in hype for the big update that recently came out. I bought that 3 months ago, when they said it would come out the following week.

This game is ambitious in what it's trying to do, the devs are experienced and set for making this happen, they just come uderhanded when it comes to working with their playerbase (Which there have been efforts recently with public events to solve) and also the time it takes to add in new content. In the entire time this game has been released, this is the first large scale content update. This is a small team of developers working on a large scale ambitous open world MMO, so this speed ois to be expected.

Me and my friends created an empire on the first american server to lauch on day one, We were the Valiant Order of the Ridgeline Alliance, we protected out alliance member on the western front from foreign invaders and headed the call of any distressed ally, we had natural barriers such as mountains and cliff protecting our southers edge, we were the funnel. Those 3 months of being in that empire were the most memorable and exciting days of my gaming career, all thing come to an end, after a bloddy war ensued inside the alliance, the gamegan to bug out and lag.

The initial idea of 10,000 man servers was soon scrapped for some number less than half that I can't immediatly recall. This is fine, 10,00 is just baffling to think about, and in some regions they are so inactive that servers of CIS and EU have merged to reduce server costs and help the player bases have more interactions (In theory, Russian zergs are lethal.)

This game cannot be held up with purchases alone, so like many other games premium subscriptions and cosmetic item skins were added in. You could have a golden shovel, a silver encrusted crossbow, or a samurai themed scale armor set, all ofcourse are cannon to what the game is. The one thing that has always been at the grindstone with the community is the "Power Hours" for a small ammont of premium currency, or having a monthly subscription a player can double there experience gain in crafting and combat one perday. This, without a doubt is a degree of pay-2-win features that we depise a gamers, the guy with a larger game budget can gain access to more advanced schematics and designs by paying for it, and why it is still a thing is beyond me. Premium members are also givena random full suit skin every month to an armor set their character has the parameters to equip, which i think is great, however the actual price for these skins are pretty outrageous when compared to other games like Dota 2 or PUBG.

As for graphics and level design, you will never find a game more detailed. It has realistic seasons that effect crop harvests which could lead kingdoms to starvation in the winter inticing war for survival. It is a voxel based terrain, which means like minecraft, space engineers, or 7 Days to Die, you can level the terrain to your liking, with flat ground and slopes to shape the foundation of your to-be kingdom. Create a moat, a cliff, a passage, a bridge, or 18 story monument in the shape of a giant dong, the world is your oyster. This game will take a dump on your GPU and CPU, make sure you abide by it's graphics requirements before you buy.

This game, with a lack of consistent updates, despite it having a new ambitous content update, has a decling player-base
new players will find long forgotten and decaying kingdoms with free loot to ransack for an early start, while amazing for new and inspired players, can be defeating for them when they realize why. Ths issue can be ressolved in production gets a revamp.

This game has the content for what it is to last a lifetime if your willing to make it happen and interact with others, this isnt like rust where everyone wants to kill you with a crossbow and take you stuff, the community is up for alliances and trade. You will likely be met with a join or die scenario to a neighboring kingdom. (Gain their trust and burn, steal, and kill everything in their sleep). There is a unique system of animal breeding where you attempt to make the best horse with hereditary traits of speed, hp, bravers, and hair colors. There are many cool features to this game to keep you occupied and wanting to do something more.

The combat intially seems very strategic and well thought out like for honor, but at it's current state is a laggy mess of who can click the most without losing stamina or take the most hits. unless you are using ranged or cavalry, than it's all up to skill. Server networking tweaks can resolve this yet it has presisted as an issue since Life is Feudal: Your Own.

These devs are responsive, they make strange decisions that leaves the community asking what made them think of this. They are Russian for the most part, howver Bobik and Arrakis, the main community heads do speak fluent english. If you guys don't believe they are Russian, ask they're pet bear Boris, who is titled as a developer to this game. (Yes I am serious)

The grind is real, you will spend countless hours trying to mold your charcter to the skill set yuour perfer, and then anouther set of hours unlearning them to make space for other skills, wooden and plaster structures early on or fair in their time and resources. You will feel pain internally looking at the requirements for castle wall, or voskastus steel, it will take not minutes, not hours, and sometimes not even days, but weeks to contruct end-tier structures, Not to mention repairing them and frequently feeding your monument valuable resources to keep the structures from decaying.

I have only covered the surface of what this game entails and what it is made of. I believe it is worth playing but BEWARE: This game will destroy you if you don't come in with friends or find a group through the forumns or discord before joining.

I rate this game 6-7/10. I love it to death but it plagued with issues, if it gets fixed you will see more than 138.6 hours played in the future, and that will be a sign that they turned this game around and that it recieves a rating higher than what I gave. (I write the previous sentence because I know i'll forget I wrote this review)

I initially like this game. The graphics, the map design, the unique leveling and crafting. But it is without a doubt lacking something vital, and that factor is fun. This game isn't really anywhere near the definition of an RPG. For an open world DIY dungeon crawler pvp game, you can't really call it an RPG. It's really just a game about grinding levels and getting rich and picking the one of three ways to do it, that is; killing players, afk gather resources for endless hours, or do PVE runs that don't do as well as the other two.

This game when it comes down to it felt more like a second job than a game. Where any good guild requires that you spend x ammount of hours doing activites, and small groups with friends just get squashed by organized tryhards.

Base building is okay, and the market system is phenomenal, as a trader of crafter you can find and abuse gaps in the market with your skills to make profit. But to buy what, more goods, to get more money, to get more goods?

The game uses the pitch "everyone matters", For the late game that is true. but for early-mid game. your first 100+ hours. It means little to nothing to anyone. You're only impact is just farming early resources that noone could be bothered to grab themselves for cheap prices, due to how inflated that end of the market already is.

All in all I enjoyed Albion Online, but they game still lacks individuality. There are no quests beyond the tutorial, unless you count dungeon raids with rarely any dialouge. It's just too open concept for me. It's great to have your game allow you to make your own quests and adventures, but how is anyone gonna hear about it? what reward other than a remenicent chuckle are you gonna get from taking that territory that makes you, your friends, your guildmates stand out other than a new place to spend time to fight for?

This game transitions from everything you wanted out of runscape and turning it into a World of Warcraft themed spin-off MOBA title that requires a "no life" lifestyle to grind up and attain.

This game needs definition, I don't want a tier 3 enchanted iron longsword forged by my friend John, I want a legendary boss drop schematic from the summer event where all the players in the game fought against an army of the undead, off of the supreme necromancer "Thy'kolet the Ashen of Bleak Sands" which allowed John our master blacksmith to craft a near one of a kind designed sythe weapon called "Bleak Harvest" bound to his account with a unique personality and design, not necessarily OP, but showing some interest in lore, market value, and in that crafter and user's reputation as Albion's greatest.

In conclusion, I can't really reccomend this game. There a difference between having fun and having satisfaction. Nothing in this game ever grabbed or compelled me. It was just "What do I do now?" "Guess i'll just do that for now." "Okay, i did that, what now?" Mindless gameplay of just deciding what to do and then spending more time than it should take to accomplish that, and it takes you a while to figure out that theres no fun, and no one treats it like you should, thats not what we bought this game to do. This game can easily develope character but that takes time, effort, and planning. There is no indication that they are taking that direction. If you enjoy endless grinding, Open word DIY Adventure PvP, than you will enjoy Albion online, I just don't fall under that category, and can't recommend this title for anyone expecting an actual RPG.

I love these developers. They do something rarely seen. This game is riddled withsecrets, with no wiki or reddit to speak of that can reveal them. In every patch these secrets are changed and added, it is then up to the hardcore communities to use them and choose who has that info. The game does lack content, and it may wipe before full release, but I do not regret putting time into this. It's a one very special game. The greatness of it is found with other players, the interactions, the bandits, the RPers, and the occassional meme-lord.

You will have unique experiences you can say you never had in another title. The game is relatively slower than other games to update and patch, but it is a fun game reguardless. I want this game to succeed.

For american players, just letting you know, this is a russian game, and some of the translations can be a bit off.

If you ever need info don't look aimlessly for articles and posts, because there are none, the info found can only be discovered by talking to other players, communication with the community is key. Join a group, make friends, this game isn't that fun alone, when there isnt anyone to brag to that you got something rare. or complain to when SnowBallJim killed you in the mines.

Decent game, but it lacks alot of things it should have covered a long time ago. An East Coast server for American players, General gameplay balance, and despite all its efforts to keep you playing and coming back, it isn't enough. Sniper rifles can one shot anywhere, a headshot from anything is an insta kill even with a $10k helmet, and grenade spam is a huge issue. There is also a general lack of weapons and equipment, not much in the name of variation, and for what variation there is they are hidden behind paywalls.

If this game can just apply East Coast servers and the ability to change my steam account (Which you are stuck with for life) than i would gladly play this game for countless hours.

This game has gotten alot further and plays alot better than most Free to Play FPS titles. I do hope it can resolve these issues.

I'm gonna up this game because reguardless of it issues, it is still fun to kill a few hours for the first playthrough, after you get pissed, it just kinda becomes dead space in your hard drive.

The combat is unbalanced, you could spend day after day gathering and crafting resources, have great armor and weapons only to be killed in under a minute by a freshspawn with a woodenclub. It's a battle of the ping. You could be a great figbhter but get roped and hanged. You can be killed by doors, you character could die randomly. Sure exploits are gone, but glitches are plenty. it's an Alpha, I get it, the craftinjg system is phenominal. You feel like a king building his kingdom, but the general community is sickening. People from across the globe would enter the server with countless hundreds of ping and beat you everytime. It's a pay-to-win system on whos got the best PC, or the luckiest, theres no skill. I will play this game only when its finished. You could get it now for the ride, but I think your money is best saved by waiting until you know this product is worth it.

Great system, good ballance of weapons. My only concern in the influx of allied players to Axis, to counter-act this I would advise a random team set system for all players, except for perhaps premium. I wouldalso request that you develop some more options/features to decrease graphics for players with laptops or low performance. Overall however, this is the best FPS I have played in years.

Really good game, though I think everyone is sick of zombie apocalypse games in progress at the moment, but it does have potential to be a great game and be a stepping stone for na series of even greater games in the future.
