Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Where “sorry” is the way they show
That kindness lives in every grin —
Where warmth beats cold, through thick and thin.
They hold the door, they pour your tea,
They say, “after you,” with modest glee.
They’ll shovel your walk, they’ll lend you their toque,
Even smile when you call them a fluke.
But then there’s him — the frostbit flake,
A walking “eh?” that’s turned to ache.
Polite? Not once. Kind? Hell no.
He cuts the line, and steals the show.
A curse in plaid, a sin in snow,
Proof maple trees can still say “no.”
So cheers to Canada, sweet and true —
Except for that guy. Yeah. Screw you.
