Unfortunately this game is more frustrating than it is fun. You will have huge dopamine rushes beating bosses in act 1. In act 2 it just doubles in difficulty to a point its unfair, almost everything dealing double damage so you basically can only take 3 hits, extremely tedious boss run backs, 0 rewards for beating bosses. The difficulty is just artificial especially with the checkpoints, there are places you just know any other developer would of put a check point but the game doesnt respect you time enough to care. I beat hollowknight and didnt look at guides but for this it's like you have to master every encounter to over come it

Got the worst armor upgrade system ive ever seen its unfathomable how bad it is. If you're into hardcore nolife pvp the game might be for you, it's a very pretty game but questing, pve is terrible

Unfortunately have to give negative score for any game that forces you to use a third party program to play with friends. I use steam because xbox, EA and all those other platforms are absolute dogsh!t and makes it a headache to play with friends.

Without a doubt the best castlevania game out there, with so much imagination / perfect game play / amazing characters / incredible world. The fun you'll get out of this huge world feels like it should be a $60 game.

Have not had this much joy since playing Dark Souls for the first time.

If you even remotely liked any platformer you've ever played this is a must by. The developers are the best people and clearly passionate about this being the best game they could possibly make as there is 3 FREE DLCS which could add 100+ hours of content if you're a completionist.

I am a hardcore dota 2 fan (Literally over 10,000 hours played and played other TCG like Shadowverse & Hearthstone.

It is really just so frustrating how Valve handled this game. It had so much potential to be the best TCG with how well crafted the game play is. With solid graphics, strategic depth, great sound effects and unique elements thanks to Richard Garfield. However with all the ingrediants to make the perfect game Valve has just spat in everyones face for all who were anticipating Artifacts release.

Even with a brand new game Valve's strong stand on "Providing 0 communication" stands stronger then ever. It's like they don't even want their game to succeed. There are very obvious problems with the game some being not even hard to fix such as: no replays, no MMR, obviously overpowered cards that cost a fortune, connection issues, bad tutorial, challenges that encourage discovery/diverse gameplay.

The Artifact sub reddit is just filled with complaints about the game and Valves notorious stand of not giving a sh*t about the community that WANT this game to succeed. Even Panel members at Dota 2 events laugh about how this game is fail now and big community figures in other Digital Card Games that moved to support Artifact are jumping ship.

Don't buy this game or at the least just wait for it to be F2P which it surely will

Takes only a couple minutes to understand how to play and a lot of fun friends. Only drawbacks is not enough players online unless you want to play in USA server and lack of different game modes

I opened Dota 2 after taking a short break (9 business months) and the game politely informed me that I am now unqualified to play.

This is no longer a video game. This is a live service knowledge exam. If you have a job, a family, a pet, or a vitamin D level above zero, you are already behind. Dota does not respect your time. Dota wants your entire calendar.

Every hero now comes with:

An Innate (a passive you didn’t know existed but definitely died to)

A Facet (which decides how you die)

A Talent Tree (mandatory, but only if you picked the correct one in 2017)

A Shard (cheap, game-breaking, and activates exactly when you forget about it)

An Aghanim’s (which turns the hero into a different hero)

Picking a hero feels like ordering at a restaurant where nothing is explained and everyone behind you is yelling. You don’t “learn” heroes anymore—you subscribe to them.

Balance-wise, every hero now does everything. Everyone has:

Mobility

Sustain

Crowd control

Scaling

A way to ruin your day

Weaknesses were removed in a patch titled something like “Quality of Life Improvements,” which apparently meant “we gave everyone a blink dagger emotionally.”

One hero will sit at a 58% win rate for half a year, absolutely bulldozing pubs and pro games alike, and Valve will respond with:

Reduced base intelligence by 1

Meanwhile, another hero hasn’t been viable since Obama was in office, but don’t worry—they got a new Facet that lets them lose lane in two different ways.

If you take a break because you were busy being a functioning human, you come back to discover:

The map has changed

Roshan moved again

Your main hero now has a combo you need a flowchart to execute

And the thing that killed you was their Shard, not their ult, not their item, but their third passive

Deaths are no longer educational. You don’t think “I misplayed.” You think “I should’ve read the patch notes.” Skill expression has been replaced by patch literacy.

At this point, I fully expect:

Creeps to unlock talents at minute 10

Neutral items to have Innates

Roshan to choose a Facet depending on the moon cycle

And the tutorial to simply link you to a 47-page PDF

Pros:

Still Dota

Incredible depth

Occasionally fun

Cons:

Requires full-time study

Balance moves at geological speed

Punishes anyone with a life

Game knowledge expires every two months

Verdict:
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game
