It's good but room for improvement is there.

For example:

No voices for any of the factions, I wish the characters would make more noises than just pain, why can't we taunt or just give simple commands our team mates (I know you're meant to communicate with a mic, but these would make the game feel more alive

Things get dodgy when you go prone, especially if playing the MG class.

Badly optimised, go from 60fps to 10fps just by looking at a object somewhere in the distance.

To me it's a good mix between the RO2 style of combat and modern shooters, the learning curve isn't as scary as people think and most classes play as you would expect them to.

Early Access Review
EDIT:

It's pretty good now.
Get it if on sale.

As a person who played M&B since early days (Does anyone remember 2006 era cracking methods for this game? lol)

This was not worth the wait.

Game looks fine, although a bit dated if anything.
Stutters too often on my mid tier rig. but this is not the reason it's getting the not recommended.

After 8 years, the game is still very barebones.

It improves on Warband in places, but there is still too much that is unfinished, and since they could not delay any longer they released the game in this state.
Quests, it started off interesting enough with the starter quest it chucks at you, but you will soon notice that all the town quests are just repeats and most of them are pretty uninspired, nothing besides "Deliver this here" or "Kill this hideout" or "Kill these dudes"

Charm plays a part in some of your conversations, but the system will just chuck 3 or so choices at you and you have to pass two skill checks, I only managed to pass this once successfully.

Compared to Warband, the game has a bit more newb friendly materials to get your merry band going, but eventually the game once again turns into (Just like Native Warband) into endlessly traversing the main map in search of things to do.

Looter/Bandit squads should increase as your squad size increases, why am I still seeing bands of 5 when my army is much larger than this? The game missed it's chance to have a great campaign, it's like the devs never played any of the mods that were created for Warband, how could they do story better than this TaleWorlds?

All in all, as you can see by my playtime, the game is playable.
But it should of been so much more, hurry up and let modders fix this.
