Despite it having the big gazongas and thicc plot, I stayed for the tax fraud. Good cat minions too.

A side from minor gripes, this is a phenomenal zombie survival game with a great deal of depth. If the idea of building a base, managing people and resources, exploring open maps and whittling away at the plaque bit by bit sounds appealing; get this. Also, if you loved the first game, you will love all the additions and changes here.

This is a flawed but enjoyable game. That out of the way, let's briefly talk about why it was flawed.

The games combat, about half of the gameplay, is not really good until you get a weapon fully upgraded. Even when upgraded, I stuck to two weapon: The Rifle and The Shotgun. The reason? Accuracy sucks on every weapon beyond the first shot tends to be wildly inaccurate. This meant I used weapons that are real strong single shots.
Also, you die REAL easy. At the beginning of the game you get downed in a few shots meaning every fight felt stressful and not enjoyable until I got a bunch of upgrades.
Another big issue I had was some objectives felt unclear what I was suppose to be doing until I kind of stumbled upon them.

On the upside, I loved the openworld elements. Each district was not too large and meant they spent time making every building look and feel diffrent. Riding the motorcycle was also pretty fun to get around quickly as it feels a bit loose but not hard to control. Also, when taking strike points they tried to make them all feel slightly different so even when doing a similar task it has something new to it that you hadn't done before.

Over all, the game was fun, the story was goofy with two dimensional characters, and I got just over 20 hours with the game.

A very cheap and simple game with a fun concept. Outrun an evil that is hunting you down by driving cross a state making pit stops to only manage your stress, car and buy items needed to banish the haunting force.

It is not a complicated game and has roguelike elements to it so it might not appeal to everyone. The PS1 era attempt at graphics give the dark drive a unique look which helps it a great deal.

Also, it is dirt cheap. Give it a shot.

Engaging story, great atmosphere, solid controls and a great sense of difficulty. This game is deserving of every cent I spent on it and would recommend it to ANYONE looking for a challanging but fun shooter.

The game completely relies on you upgrading a plethora of skills in hopes that one of these skills will save you in future conversations and actions. Not being given any indication as to what is to come in the future, you will find yourself missing out on huge hunks of plot and possibly dying because a few stats were not high enough. Everything feels random and without any idea of what I should maybe be specing toward, I feel bored and just choose skills at random.

This is all the game has to offer as well. Also, there is no real humor to it like the trailer suggests so I felt somewhat lied to.
